1QB Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft

We randomized the draft order in this dynasty rookie mock draft and were given the third overall pick. Since this is a 1QB league, you can imagine that wide receivers would go off the board immediately. As expected, Marvin Harrison Jr. was the first player off the board. However, with talented wide receivers like Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze, we felt great about having the third overall pick. Let’s get right into the full results of the first round.

Round 1

With the third overall pick in this 1QB rookie mock draft, we grabbed the new talented wide receiver for the Chicago Bears, Rome Odunze. Odunze is a talented route runner with a nice long-term landing spot with Caleb Williams and the Bears. Notably, he profiles as a potential WR1 in the NFL. While DJ Moore and Keenan Allen will command targets immediately, Odunze will certainly get involved and should be a nice dynasty piece to have on your rosters for years to come. Here’s how the rest of Round 1 shaked out.

  1. Marvin Harrison Jr. WR, Cardinals
  2. Malik Nabers WR, Giants
  3. Rome Odunze WR, Bears (our pick)
  4. Xavier Worthy WR, Chiefs
  5. Brock Bowers TE, Raiders
  6. Brian Thomas Jr. WR, Jaguars
  7. Ladd McConkey WR, Chargers
  8. Ricky Pearsall WR, 49ers
  9. Keon Coleman WR, Bills
  10. Caleb Williams QB, Bears
  11. Jonathon Brooks RB, Panthers
  12. Adonai Mitchell WR, Colts

Round 2

In Round 2, we secured a solid running back, snagging Trey Benson of the Arizona Cardinals. Despite some rough landing spots for these rookie running backs, Benson is in one of the best spots from a long-term perspective. James Conner just turned 29 at the beginning of May and is entering his eighth season as an NFL running back. While he may not give you immediate value in redraft leagues, Benson is certainly in a solid spot for dynasty league football purposes.

  1. Xavier Legette WR, Panthers
  2. Jayden Daniels QB, Commanders
  3. Trey Benson RB, Cardinals (our pick)
  4. JJ McCarthy QB, Vikings
  5. Roman Wilson WR, Steelers
  6. Ja’Lynn Polk WR, Patriots
  7. Jaylen Wright RB, Dolphins
  8. Troy Franklin WR, Broncos
  9. Jermaine Burton WR, Bengals
  10. Drake Maye QB, Patriots
  11. MarShawn Lloyd RB, Packers
  12. Blake Corum RB, Rams

Round 3

Grabbing another wide receiver here in the third round, we took Luke McCaffrey, who landed with the Washington Commanders. There is certainly upside to be had with this Washington offense, and McCaffrey is a solid gamble here in Round 3. Even if you’re taking McCaffrey on name value alone, that’s not a terrible pick for this late in your rookie drafts.

  1. Malachi Corley WR, Jets
  2. Malik Washington WR, Dolphins
  3. Javon Baker WR, Patriots
  4. Luke McCaffrey WR, Commanders (our pick)
  5. Ben Sinnott TE, Commanders
  6. Jalen McMillan WR, Buccaneers
  7. Ray Davis RB, Bills
  8. Braelon Allen RB, Jets
  9. Bo Nix QB, Broncos
  10. Michael Penix Jr. QB, Falcons
  11. Tyrone Tracy Jr. RB, Giants
  12. Devontez Walker WR, Ravens

Round 4

In Round 4, we drafted our second running back in this mock draft, Bucky Irving of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite a breakout season from Rachaad White in 2023, there really isn’t anyone else competing for touches in this backfield. Whether he is just a stash or a handcuff to White, Irving is an intriguing prospect who offers some decent value this late in your drafts.

  1. Kimani Vidal RB, Chargers
  2. Brenden Rice WR, Chargers
  3. Bucky Irving RB, Buccaneers (our pick)
  4. Ja’Tavion Sanders TE, Panthers
  5. Audric Estime RB, Broncos
  6. Jacob Cowing WR, 49ers
  7. Jamari Thrash WR, Browns
  8. Johnny Wilson WR, Eagles
  9. Will Shipley RB, Eagles
  10. Isaac Guerendo RB, 49ers
  11. Jordan Whittington WR, Rams
  12. Ainias Smith WR, Eagles

Round 5

Finally, we drafted Theo Johnson in Round 5 of this 1QB rookie mock draft. There’s still plenty of speculation surrounding Darren Waller and his future with the New York Giants. All of these Round 5 picks are dart throws at this point. However, Johnson is a talented player who could find a path to a TE2 role with plenty of room to prove himself.

  1. Dylan Laube RB, Raiders
  2. Casey Washington WR, Falcons
  3. Theo Johnson TE, Giants (our pick)
  4. Cade Stover TE, Texans
  5. Erick All TE, Bengals
  6. Tahj Washington WR, Dolphins
  7. Joshua Cephus WR, Jaguars
  8. Cody Schrader RB, 49ers
  9. Rasheen Ali RB, Ravens
  10. Isaiah Davis RB, Jets
  11. Anthony Gould WR, Colts
  12. Jerrod “Bub” Means WR, Colts
