2022 NFL Draft Compensatory Draft Picks

On March 15th, the NFL awarded 39 compensatory picks to 16 teams for the 2022 NFL Draft.

These picks are awarded to teams that lost significant free agents the previous offseason and did not offset them with similar additions to their roster. The compensatory picks are positioned from Round 3 to Round 7 based on the value of the compensatory free agents lost. The formula that determines compensatory free agents is based on salary, playing time, and postseason honors. Teams are allowed no more than four compensatory picks in a single year.
