2024 NFL Draft Top Prospects

Thursday will be a massive day for the linebackers, who many have classified as a weaker class. However, many players have a chance to improve their NFL Draft stock. Texas A&M’s Edgerrin Cooper and North Carolina State’s Payton Wilson are two names to keep an eye on this weekend. Both should test very well and could hear their names creep into the backend of the first-round conversation.

Furthermore, with Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers not testing this weekend, it leaves the door open for players like Rome Odunze and Troy Franklin to stand out. Both players should run fantastic 40-yard-dash times and will show their elite pass-catching in positional drills.

The conversation throughout the year was about how the running back class doesn’t possess that elite player that we’ve seen in years past. While that may be true, players such as Trey Benson and Braelon Allen have a chance to show they can be starting backs in the NFL. Both are bigger backs with the potential to run sub 4.45, which would be impressive at their size.

Moreover, there are several talented offensive linemen in the 2024 NFL Draft class who can play multiple positions on the line and have tremendous athletic traits. Olu Fashanu was arguably a top-10 pick in last year’s draft before deciding to return to Penn State. While he didn’t have an outstanding season, he has a chance to boost his draft stock back into the top end of the first round with phenomenal testing numbers.

Quarterbacks will be what everyone’s talking about leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft. The consensus top three quarterbacks, Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels, won’t participate in on-field drills this weekend, leaving the door for the next tier of gunslingers to show what they can do. All eyes will be on JJ McCarthy, Spencer Rattler, and the rest of the field to see if teams can find their next franchise quarterback.

All in all, this is a fantastic rookie class with tons of talented players. More importantly, for your dynasty fantasy football rosters.
