2024 NFL Mock Draft 4.0 with Trades: Post-NFL Combine Risers
Now that the 2024 NFL Draft All-Star games and the NFL Combine are over, the only thing left to finalize the evaluation process is the Pro Days. After that, we await the countdown to the NFL Draft. With pre-draft events, several questions get answered, rumors swirl around many players, and sorting through who is worthy of first-round picks starts to get even more mirky. Let’s dive into who could go in the first round as we predict potential trades that could happen on day one of the highly anticipated 2024 NFL Draft.
2024 NFL Mock Draft 4.0 with Trades
As the NFL Draft approaches, the discussions around potential landing spots for quarterbacks intensify, with several trades potentially reshaping the top ten. One team that piques interest is the Minnesota Vikings, who seem to have a strong liking for UNC QB Drake Maye. The ties between Maye and the team, including new QB Coach Josh McCown, who coached him in high school, add to the intrigue. Rumors suggest that if Jaden Daniels isn’t available at three for the Patriots, they might consider trading back in the 2024 NFL Draft. Could the Vikings be the team to make a move and secure Maye?
With the Chicago Bears likely taking a quarterback and moving on from Justin Fields, several teams will be pursuing him to lead their franchise. He’s been tied to the Falcons and Raiders, but is he worth a first-round pick? Likely not, but with the right package, the Bears could find their way back into the first round and build around their new franchise quarterback.
Both sides of the trenches are very top-heavy with talent, and with several teams needing to upgrade their lines, we will likely see several of them come off the board early in the NFL Draft. The edge class has three, maybe four, premiere talents, leaving many teams needing a pass rusher itching to trade up for one of them.
On the other side of the trenches, the tackles in this class have three top players before dropping to the next tier, and once you get past that tier, it gets to be a bit of a question if they’ll make an early impact in their career. Several teams need offensive line help, and with the talent of this tackle class, we could see plenty of movement in the middle of the first round.
