2024 NFL Mock Draft 6.0: All 7 Rounds — Day 1

As we near the 2024 NFL Draft, the first round will be loaded with talent that will change the landscape of many teams. With the wave of talent from free agency slowing down, teams can start looking at improving their teams through the draft and filling their needs. Let’s dive into how some picks will play out in this mock draft.

The talk will surround the quarterback position, as many teams need to find the guy who will turn the franchise around. From around the league, it looks like a two-headed monster, headed by USC’s Caleb Williams and LSU’s Jayden Daniels. Both players have the tools and potential to be the No. 1 guy in any other class, but only one can take home that title.

It’s a matter of how much more Washington likes one guy over the other and whether they will risk it all to go up and get him. Or does another team picking later in the draft think they have the pieces to compete for a Super Bowl and are willing to sell the farm to get their next franchise guy?

The next wave that will be discussed is Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy and UNC’s Drake Maye. Some have Maye at the top of their quarterback rankings, while many in the media are finally coming around on McCarthy. When all is said and done, we very well could hear McCarthy’s name called before Maye, but there’s no denying the potential the Tar Heel gunslinger brings. A team like the Minnesota Vikings has been linked with Maye, considering Josh McCown coached him in high school.
