Players like Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, Brock Bowers, Joe Alt, and Taliese Fuaga. As always, rumors are going to be around during this time of the draft process.

In this NFL Mock Draft, I’m throwing out the rumors and doing what I would do if I was the man who has the final say. Stay tuned as one more mock draft will be posted the week of the 2024 NFL Draft. That being said, welcome to my NFL Mock Draft 6.0!

1.) Chicago Bears (via CAR): Caleb Williams QB, USC

A top 3 prospect in the 2024 class, a no-brainer for the Chicago Bears who are in desperate need of a franchise quarterback.

2.) Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels QB, LSU

I said I was throwing out all the rumors in this mock. Let’s make one thing clear, if the Commanders wanted a quarterback like JJ McCarthy or Drake Maye, they never would’ve traded Sam Howell to the Seahawks. Washington wants a quarterback who will start day 1.

3.) Minnesota Vikings (PROJECTED TRADE via NE): Drake Maye QB, UNC

MIN receives: No. 3
NE receives: No. 11, No. 23, 2025 1st (MIN)

Minnesota traded for an additional first-rounder for one reason. They’re looking to snatch one of the top quarterbacks in this class. I believe Maye is more pro-ready than JJ McCarthy. Drake Maye has a history with his former high school coach and now, Minnesota’s quarterback coach, Joe Brady. The connection between Brady and Maye makes this selection easy to make.

4.) New York Giants (PROJECTED TRADE via ARI): JJ McCarthy QB, MICH

NYG receives: No. 4, No. 227
ARI receives: No. 6, No. 47, No. 183, 2025 3rd (NYG)

Arizona wants a top tier wide receiver; with Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers still on the board, the Cardinals can trade down two spots and gather more picks while still landing a top tier wide receiver. As for the Giants, there’s no doubt that they’ll take a quarterback. It’s just a matter of will it be in the 1st round? Ultimately, I believe the Giants and Vikings are the top two teams that fit McCarthy’s skill-set.

5.) Los Angeles Chargers: Marvin Harrison Jr. WR, OSU

Jim Harbaugh offers his opinion anytime he gets a chance on how good JJ McCarthy is. McCarthy really is a great quarterback but Harbaugh knows what he’s doing. The Chargers are in desperate need of a wide receiver after moving on from Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. If 4 quarterbacks go in the top 4, Harbaugh gets his choice at wide receiver.

6.) Arizona Cardinals (PROJECTED TRADE via NYG): Malik Nabers WR, LSU

Kyler Murray will get his No. 1 target at the end of night 1 of the NFL Draft. The question is, does Arizona stay at 4 and select Marvin Harrison Jr. or do they trade down a few spots and land Malik Nabers? Arizona doesn’t have a great roster so trading down is what I would do.

7.) Tennessee Titans: Joe Alt OT, ND

Tennessee is showing the league how to rebuild. They’re solidifying the offensive line this offseason. They already have Peter Skoronski. In free agency, they added Lloyd Cushenberry, who I think was a phenomenal pickup. Adding Joe Alt means they’re all-in on Will Levis.

8.) Atlanta Falcons: Dallas Turner EDGE, ALA

The Atlanta Falcons have a 75% chance of being on the board with no defensive prospects being drafted. Luckily, for Atlanta, they need defense. Dallas Turner is a genetic freak and is an elite prospect.

9.) New York Jets (PROJECTED TRADE via CHI): Rome Odunze WR, WASH

NYJ receives: No. 9
CHI receives: No. 10, No. 72, 2025 3rd (NYJ)

New York made a ton of moves to please Aaron Rodgers. A lot of people believe that offensive line or Brock Bowers is the pick. However, Rome Odunze being available is a huge upgrade at wide receiver. Rodgers loves having route runners on his team. Adding Odunze next to Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams would make the Jets’ offense a threat to opposing defenses.

10.) Chicago Bears (PROJECTED TRADE via NYJ): Troy Fautanu OL, WASH

Chicago drafted Darnell Wight in the first-round last year. However, they have a massive hole on the left side of the offensive line. Fautanu has the ability to play both tackle and guard. The best offensive lineman are the ones that can play multiple positions on the line.

11.) New England Patriots (PROJECTED TRADE via MIN): Taliese Fuaga OL, ORST

Yes, the Patriots need a quarterback. However, the rest of their roster is one of the worst in the NFL. I’m a believer in building the team before you draft your quarterback. The Patriots aren’t one piece away, they need upgrades at every position. Building the offensive line is the way to go here. Taliese Fuaga is another prospect who can slide in and play guard if needed. Therefore, I believe New England trading down and starting completely over is the ideal thing to do.

12.) Denver Broncos: Byron Murphy ll IDL, TEX

Remember how I said the Patriots have one of the worst rosters in the NFL? Well, so do the Denver Broncos. Patrick Surtain is an elite corner but is he really that valuable to a team like the Broncos? In the end, trading Surtain is something I would consider on draft night. Building through the trenches is my philosophy on building a new team. In the end, Byron Murphy could be a top 10 pick. However, he falls just outside to a team who needs an elite athlete like Murphy.

13.) Las Vegas Raiders: Terrion Arnold CB, ALA

I love how the Raiders have managed their team this offseason. Arnold is my top corner in the 2024 Draft. Vegas has a huge hole at corner. It’s a perfect match for new Head Coach, Antonio Pierce.

14.) New Orleans Saints: Olu Fashanu OT, PSU

Ryan Ramczyk might miss the entire 2024 season. That means the Saints are in the market for an offensive lineman. Fashanu has all-pro caliber film but his hands being small is a huge issue. I think he’ll be a starter in the league for a long time but his hands will cause him to fall on draft night.

15.) Indianapolis Colts: Brock Bowers TE, UGA

Do I believe that Bowers will fall to the 15th pick? Heck no, but could he? He very well could. With the trade ups that occurred in this mock, that’s how the board fell. If Bowers isn’t selected by the Jets, I could see someone trade up to land my highest graded tight end ever. In this case, Indy gets the steal of the draft.

16.) Seattle Seahawks: Jackson Powers-Johnson IOL, ORE

The Seahawks could very well go quarterback here. However I think selecting Bo Nix or Michael Penix Jr. at this spot is a little too rich for me. Seattle has a history of bad offensive line play but with their recent success of being able to run the ball; adding Oregon’s Jackson Powers-Johnson is the right thing to do.

17.) Jacksonville Jaguars: Quinyon Mitchell CB, TOL

Watch out for a potential wide receiver here if Brian Thomas Jr. or AD Mitchell fall like they have in this mock. However, the Jaguars have a “Houston Problem”. The Texans have an arsenal of weapons that the Jaguars can’t compete against. Selecting a cornerback like Toledo’s Quinyon Mitchell is the thing to do for the Jaguars.

18.) Cincinnati Bengals: Brian Thomas Jr. WR, LSU

I see the Bengals moving on from Tee Higgins either before the draft or when they make their selection. Needless to say, replacing him with another weapon from LSU in Brian Thomas Jr. would be a fantastic turn around for the Higgins’ headache.

19.) Los Angeles Rams: Jared Verse EDGE, FSU

Another team that could go quarterback in the first-round. Matt Stafford would be a great player to sit behind if the Rams go the route of Bo Nix or Michael Penix Jr. However, the Rams are still competing. Even with the retirement of Aaron Donald, Los Angeles’ defense will be one to watch out for if they decide to add more playmakers like Florida State’s Jared Verse.

20.) Pittsburgh Steelers: Amarius Mims OT, UGA

There’s a thing about Pennsylvania and drafting Georgia prospects. The Russell Wilson addition means the Steelers are trying to make it back to the Super Bowl soon. The defense needs help with their defensive backs. However, offensive line is more important at this time for the Steelers. Mims’ athletic ability would help protect Russ’ blindside.

21.) Miami Dolphins: Graham Barton OL, DUKE

It’s no secret that Miami needs versatility on the offensive line. With Terron Armstead heading to retirement soon, Barton gives Miami that ability to learn behind one of the best. Unfortunately, the Austin Jackson pick is shaping up as a bad one. Barton gives Miami a chance at finding a new right tackle as well in this scenario.

22.) Philadelphia Eagles: Nate Wiggins CB, CLEM

A simple explanation here. The Eagles are loaded on offense but won’t be able to stop opposing offenses if they don’t have any corners. Adding one of the fastest in the draft, who also has serious lockdown skills is what the Eagles need.

23.) Buffalo Bills (PROJECTED TRADE via NE): AD Mitchell WR, TEX

BUF receives: No. 23
NE receives: No. 28, No. 60, No. 133

The Bills made the right decision in trading Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans. Now they are in need of a wide receiver after losing Gabe Davis as well. With this pick, AD Mitchell is the perfect No. 1 for Josh Allen and this Bills offense.

24.) Dallas Cowboys: Tyler Guyton OT, OU

Dallas let Tyron Smith walk in free agency to the Jets. Replacing a Hall of Famer is going to be tough but Guyton is a phenomenal replacement. Guyton, I believe, has the edge on Alabama’s JC Latham as being drafted first.

25.) Green Bay Packers: Cooper DeJean DB, IOWA

DeJean is a perfect example of drafting versatility. Overall, adding DeJean next to Jaire Alexander and Xavier McKinney would make the Packers’ defense one of the most versatile defenses in the NFL.

26.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Chop Robinson EDGE, PSU

Tampa Bay is known for drafting prospects with top tier potential. With Chop Robinson, that’s exactly what he brings. If developed correctly, which Tampa Bay will do, Robinson could very well be the best pass rusher in the class.

27.) Arizona Cardinals: Laiatu Latu EDGE, UCLA

Arizona landed one of the best prospects earlier when they traded down to select LSU’s Malik Nabers. Now they get a steal in UCLA’s Latu. Notably, Latu’s explosiveness reminds me a lot of Miami Dolphins’ Jaelan Phillips.

28.) New England Patriots (PROJECTED TRADE via BUF): Bo Nix QB, ORE

Why would the Patriots trade down not once but twice just to take a quarterback? To answer this, New England HAS to take one. If it’s in the first or in the mid round. The Patriots have to try and find their guy. I’m not a fan of taking a quarterback top 10 if you don’t have the team already built. Therefore, trading down and acquiring more picks will help New England build around Nix.

29.) Detroit Lions: Kool-Aid McKinstry CB, ALA

Detroit is known to reach on players and that’s what I want them to do here. McKinstry has something that you can’t teach players, and that’s speed. Learning the system will be easy for Kool-Aid as his former Alabama teammate, Brian Branch became a huge part of the Lions’ defense.

30.) Baltimore Ravens: Ladd McConkey WR, UGA

Don’t rule out an offensive lineman here for the Ravens. However, the offensive line class is so deep that taking the best route runner on the board is what I would do. McConkey has been a riser over the last few months and at this point, it wouldn’t be shocking to see his name called at the end of the first round.

31.) Las Vegas Raiders (PROJECTED TRADE via SF): Michael Penix Jr. QB, WASH

LV receives: No. 31
SF receives: No. 44, No. 77, 2025 2nd (LV)

The Raiders have a huge need at quarterback. Do we really believe that Aidan O’Connell will lead the Raiders anywhere? No, that’s why they went and signed Gardner Minshew in free agency. With the defense being set after selecting Terrion Arnold, Vegas should look to acquire a quarterback before it’s too late. Michael Penix Jr. is a player that I believe could surprise people. It’s never a bad idea to take a swing at a quarterback. The reward is higher than the risk for the Raiders in this situation.

32.) Kansas City Chiefs: Xavier Worthy WR, TEX

If the Chiefs land Xavier Worthy, then the league might as well send the Chiefs a new Super Bowl ring. Unfortunately, the wide receiver position is once agian in question for the Chiefs as Rashee Rice deals with his off-field issues. Following the NFL Combine, we are all very aware about Worthy’s speed. Personally, it’s the run after catch ability that’s impressive to me.
