Welcome to our 2024 NFL Mock Draft – Post-Super Bowl Edition! With the conclusion of the Super Bowl, the attention now turns to the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, where teams look to bolster their rosters with the next generation of talent. Before the NFL Draft, we also will get to see these players in the upcoming 2024 NFL Combine.

In this edition, we analyze the post-Super Bowl landscape, team needs, and player performances to project how the first round of the draft could unfold. From potential top picks to sleeper selections, join us as we delve into the speculation and excitement surrounding the future stars of the NFL.

2024 NFL Mock Draft: Post-Super Bowl Edition

A lot has happened since my recent NFL Mock Draft 3.0. The Senior Bowl wrapped up and we crowned this year’s Super Bowl winner. Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs for winning their 4th Super Bowl! Also, congratulations to Patrick Mahomes with his third Super Bowl win and third Super Bowl MVP award.

The San Francisco 49ers had an amazing year and should be back in the big game next year. With that being said, a ton of rumors have begun and will be implemented into this mock, so let’s begin with my latest mock draft, NFL Mock Draft 4.0! Let’s get right into it.

1.) Chicago Bears (via CAR): Caleb Williams QB, USC

Caleb Williams is the smart pick here. He’s a prospect you can’t pass on unless you are set at the quarterback position. I believe the Bears aren’t set at that position and should take the USC quarterback and look to make a run at the NFC North title in 2024.

2.) Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels QB, LSU

Believe it or not, the Commanders could select Marvin Harrison Jr. here. Why would they do that? Well, the Bears just selected Caleb Williams with the No. 1 pick. Washington might want to call Chicago and see what the Bears want for Justin Fields. I truly believe they might go that route but won’t know for sure until after the NFL Combine. As of right now, I’m going with LSU’s Jayden Daniels. He’s a dynamic runner and a great passer. Washington once had a player like Daniels when they had Robert Griffin lll.

3.) New York Giants (TRADE via NE): Drake Maye QB, UNC

Giants receive: No. 3

Patriots receive: No. 6, No. 39, 2025 1st

Recent rumors suggest that Jerod Mayo and the New England Patriots might look through  Free Agency when it comes to finding their next signal caller. I also suggested this in my mock 3.0. There will be good options for the Patriots to help bridge their team throughout the next few years. As for the Giants, Daniel Jones’ injury history is concerning. Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll love the mold of UNC’s Drake Maye. Maye to the Giants seems like a match made in heaven.

4.) Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison Jr. WR, OSU

The best-case scenario for the Arizona Cardinals is finding Kyler Murray his No. 1 target for the foreseeable future. Marvin Harrison Jr. is the best wide receiver I’ve ever scouted. He is that good and absolutely worthy of a pick this high this year in the NFL Draft.

5.) Los Angeles Rams (TRADE via LAC): JJ McCarthy QB, MICH

Rams receive: No. 5

Chargers receive: No. 19, No. 51, 2025 1st, 2025 2nd, 2025 4th

Recent rumors suggest the Chargers will look to trade down and help protect Justin Herbert. This Chargers team is potentially losing a lot of defense due to cap reasons. These picks will help fill in those losses. As for the Rams, JJ McCarthy seems like a Sean McVay type of quarterback. The Rams can still compete and develop a quarterback behind future Hall of Famer, Matt Stafford. Ultimately, scouts are saying that the NFL is “in love with McCarthy’s traits.”

6.) New England Patriots (TRADE via NYG): Rome Odunze WR, WASH

The Patriots lack talent on the offensive line and I would love to mock an offensive tackle here. However, Rome Odunze is flying up draft boards. If the Patriots sign a quarterback, I fully expect them to draft a wide receiver in the first round. The Patriots haven’t had a No. 1 receiver since Tom Brady was the starter.

7.) Tennessee Titans: Joe Alt OT, ND

I 100% believe the Titans are going offensive line with this pick. Joe Alt is a future all-pro tackle. The Titans continue to build through the trenches for Will Levis.

8.) Atlanta Falcons: Dallas Turner EDGE, ALA

Atlanta hasn’t had a dominant pass rusher for a while. It’s time to change that. Turner is explosive in both the run and the passing game.

9.) Chicago Bears: Malik Nabers WR, LSU

The Bears drafting their franchise quarterback and a dominant wide receiver like Malik Nabers would be an insane haul. Nabers was one of, if not, the most dominant receiver in the nation this season. An offense of Caleb Williams, DJ Moore, and Malik Nabers would be hard to stop for opposing defenses.

10.) New York Jets: Taliese Fuaga OT, ORST

Fuaga is going to fly up draft boards. He’s been flying into the top 20, but I see him being selected higher than that. He’s a versatile lineman that can move anywhere on the line.

11.) Cincinnati Bengals (TRADE via MIN): Olu Fashanu OT, PSU

Bengals receive: No. 11

Vikings receive: No. 18, No. 49, 2025 2nd

Fashanu is for some reason, falling down boards. I still have him as my No. 1 offensive tackle. His ceiling is being a top 5 tackle in the league. His floor is being a top-15 tackle in the league. Minnesota misses on a quarterback and gathers picks for the future to make a run at the top quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft.

12.) Denver Broncos: Terrion Arnold CB, ALA

Arnold is my top corner in the draft. He was the No. 2 corner on the Alabama roster and he will be in Denver as well. Surtain and Arnold would be a top 5 duo in the NFL.

13.) Las Vegas Raiders: Quinyon Mitchell CB, TOL

Antonio Pierce is the head coach of the Raiders. This means defense will be a priority this off-season for Las Vegas. Toledo cornerback, Quinyon Mitchell is close to being my No. 1 ranked corner for this class. Notably, his awareness is top-notch. Not to mention, he was the MVP of the Senior Bowl for me this year.

14.) New Orleans Saints: Byron Murphy ll IDL TEX

I’ve stated this in my previous mocks, this Saints team really lacks one need. That need is the interior defense. Byron Murphy ll is shaping up to be the No. 1 defensive tackle in the 2024 draft. His play in the college football playoffs was 100% domination.

15.) Indianapolis Colts: Brock Bowers TE, UGA

Bowers is a top 5 player in the 2024 draft. Here’s a prime example of positional value pushing great players down the draft board. Kyle Pitts was selected top 5 and he hasn’t panned out. Bowers is a player I would take top 5 but some organizations know the risk, his fall stops with the Colts. Shane Steichen worked well with tight ends when he was with Philadelphia. He would do wonders with Brock Bowers.

16.) Seattle Seahawks: Troy Fautanu OL, WASH

Seattle’s team is built really well. They could go corner or edge rusher if they wanted. However, Fautanu can move into being a guard and being a franchise starter for the Seahawks.

17.) Jacksonville Jaguars: Ennis Rakestraw JR. CB, MIZ

Jacksonville’s time to replace Jalen Ramsey has finally arrived. Rakestraw is rumored to be a first-rounder. I believe he’ll go higher than just being a first-rounder. The corner class isn’t elite tier, however, the class could potentially see 5 to 7 being first-rounders.

18.) Minnesota Vikings (TRADE via CIN): Jer’Zhan Newton IDL, ILL

The Vikings are a tough team to mock currently. They are in dire need of a quarterback, do they sign one in free agency? I believe they’ll look for one in the draft. Bo Nix is the last remaining quarterback that I could see NFL organizations wanting to draft him in the first round. However, the Vikings did just trade back and gain an additional second in 2025 in this mock. So to be safe, I’m mocking the Vikings selecting one of my favorite players in the draft in Illinois’ defensive lineman, Jer’Zhan Newton.

19.) Los Angeles Chargers (TRADE via LAR): Amarius Mims OT, UGA

As stated before, the Chargers want to protect Justin Herbert. Jim Harbaugh is known for building through the trenches. Amarius Mims could be a top-10 pick, however, he falls to a team that requires building the offensive line.

20.) Pittsburgh Steelers: JC Latham OT, ALA

The Steelers have done well with what they’ve got when it comes to the offensive line. If the Steelers want to see what they have in Kenny Pickett then they need to start building the offensive line. Latham could be a top-10 pick come draft night. In this mock, he falls just a little into a team that will start him day 1.

21.) Miami Dolphins: Laiatu Latu EDGE, UCLA

Unfortunately, injuries to the defensive line are the main reason for this selection. Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips are both coming off serious injuries. This allows Latu to make an impact early.

22.) Philadelphia Eagles: Jackson Powers-Johnson IOL, ORE

Jason Kelce seems to be retiring for good. That means, the Eagles have a huge hole in the interior for the offensive line. Jackson Powers-Johnson can play center and guard, so this gives versatility which the Eagles love having.

23.) Houston Texans (via CLE): Brian Thomas Jr. WR, LSU

Houston found their franchise quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft. Now is the time to build around him. Their offensive line is really good. Next up, find weapons for C.J. Stroud. Brian Thomas Jr. might be a top 15 pick but he falls due to positional needs from other teams.

24.) Dallas Cowboys: Tyler Guyton OT, OU

Dallas isn’t really in dire need of a position so I believe they’ll go after Tyron Smith’s replacement. Smith isn’t getting any younger so drafting Guyton out of Oklahoma is the way to go.

25.) Green Bay Packers: Jordan Morgan OT, ARIZ

I agree with the majority when it comes to deciding what the Packers should do with their first-round pick. Jordan Love is a stud, he proved it this season. Building the trenches is the smart thing to do. I could also see them going after a weapon for Love if a tackle isn’t there that they like.

26.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Bralen Trice EDGE, WASH

Another team that has a well-balanced roster is the Buccaneers. This year, they could draft any position and I wouldn’t mind it. In this case, they upgrade at the pass rush. Bralen Trice’s stock increased after Washington’s National Championship appearance. Overall, he played very well against Michigan.

27.) Arizona Cardinals: Jared Verse EDGE, FSU

Arizona lacks a dominant pass rusher. Florida State’s Jared Verse can be exactly that for the Cardinals. This is a pretty straightforward pick here and makes a lot of sense for Arizona after drafting a wide receiver early on.

28.) Buffalo Bills: Roman Wilson WR, MICH

A name that increased his stock during Senior Bowl week was Michigan wide receiver, Roman Wilson. The catches he made were jaw-dropping. His consistency plays a huge role in why I believe he will be a first-round pick.

29.) Detroit Lions: Cooper DeJean CB, IOWA

No surprise here, the Lions need a cornerback. That’s their main need this off-season. DeJean is a versatile player who would fit in with what Dan Campbell is building.

30.) Baltimore Ravens: Ladd McConkey WR, UGA

McConkey is another name that impressed me at the Senior Bowl. I’ve mocked him to Baltimore before. I have no problem continuing to mock him with Lamar Jackson.

31.) Denver Broncos (TRADE via SF): Bo Nix QB, ORE

Broncos receive: No. 31

49ers receive: No. 45, No. 76, 2025 5th

Denver is rumored to be moving on from Russell Wilson. Personally, I don’t believe Bo Nix is a first-rounder. However, I believe a team in need of a quarterback will take a chance on him near the end of the first round. Denver or Minnesota is a team I could see making a move up to select the former Auburn Tiger and Oregon Duck.

32.) Kansas City Chiefs: AD Mitchell WR, TEX

How perfect would this be for AD Mitchell? The Chiefs are back-to-back Super Bowl Champions. AD Mitchell was a back-to-back National Champion in 2022 and 2023. Both parties are winners. All in all, it would be a great fit for both sides. Especially since Patrick Mahomes is in dire need of a wide receiver.
