2024 NFL Mock Draft – Top 24 Picks Locked In
Welcome back to another edition of my 2024 NFL Draft mock draft. One of the most fun things about mock drafts is the countless ways to create them. In my last two mock drafts, the Chicago Bears took Caleb Williams in my 1.0 mock. Then, the New York Giants traded up for Williams in my 2.0 mock. During this latest NFL Draft mock, something rare happens.
Be sure to keep a lookout for more mocks in the future! Let’s get right into my latest 2024 NFL Draft mock draft as the top 24 picks have been locked in.
1.) Chicago Bears (via CAR): Marvin Harrison Jr. WR, OSU
As I stated, something rare will happen in this mock draft. Well, here it is. Marvin Harrison Jr. has a chance of being the first wide receiver to be selected No. 1 overall since Keshawn Johnson back in 1996. In this edition, I couldn’t come to terms on a trade that would work for either the Patriots, Giants, or Falcons that would also benefit the Bears. In this case, the Bears continue to build around Justin Fields. All things considered, building around Fields is not out of the question by any stretch.
2.) Washington Commanders: Caleb Williams QB, USC
The Commanders are going to be a tough team to mock for the upcoming months. Ownership might want their guy, but how can you take a franchise quarterback when you have the worst offensive line in the league? Here, the Commanders make the selection that hopefully has a ripple effect on how the new-look Commanders display their franchise. With the hiring of former 49ers’ Assistant General Manager Adam Peters, the Washington Commanders finally have the correct building blocks for the formation of their franchise.
3.) New York Giants (TRADE via NE): Drake Maye QB, UNC
Giants receive: No. 3
Patriots receive: No. 6, No. 39, No. 70, 2025 2nd
The Patriots decided to stay inside the organization when they named Jerod Mayo as their new head coach. That tells me one of two things. One, the front office knows the team isn’t anywhere close to where they want to be and will trade this pick. Two, they want their new head coach to draft his franchise signal caller. That being said, I believe this pick will be traded, the Patriots aren’t close to being an established team. Jerod Mayo’s main goal this off-season has to show the Patriots and their fans that the team is making progress for the future, and this is the best way to begin that process. As for the Giants, the new regime paid Daniel Jones, however, they structured Jones’ contract to where they could get out of it after the 2024 season.
4.) Arizona Cardinals: Brock Bowers TE, UGA
The Cardinals aren’t moving on from Kyler Murray and I don’t see how they could even think about it after his impressive performance to end the 2023 season. Cardinal fans should be happy where the franchise is. They have a competent head coach who proved he can compete with a bad roster. The next thing for the Cardinals to do is explore ways to find Kyler some weapons and protection. In this edition, the Cardinals miss out on Marvin Harrison Jr. however, they land the best tight end prospect I’ve scouted. Bowers isn’t your Kyle Pitts-caliber prospect, he’s another George Kittle. The Cardinals are well aware of what a great tight end can do as their recent battles with George Kittle have shown.
5.) Los Angeles Chargers: Olu Fashanu OT, PSU
You’ll see a ton of mocks that have the Chargers selecting a weapon for Justin Herbert. Why don’t we change it up and allow the Chargers to solidify the offensive line in the first round? Fashanu is a day 1 starter and is an all-pro caliber player. The best thing about this selection is that Fashanu is a premier tackle while Rashawn Slater can kick inside or attempt to play right tackle.
6.) New England Patriots (TRADE via NYG): Joe Alt OT, ND
Reminder, the Patriots acquired this pick alongside two 2nd rounders (one in 2025), and a 3rd rounder to move back to help fill out the roster. With this selection, the Patriots started to build through the trenches (my theory is trenches matter the most when rebuilding). Joe Alt is a day 1 starter who has elite traits. He’s a bulldozer in the run game and is hard to get around on pass protection.
7.) Tennessee Titans: JC Latham OT, Alabama
The Titans could get fancy here with selecting Malik Nabers but Titans’ General Manager Ran Carthon, is well aware that trenches are important when it comes to developing a team. His vision will most likely look similar to John Lynch’s vision when the 49ers started their rebuild.
8.) Atlanta Falcons: Jayden Daniels QB, LSU
Who will be the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons is a huge question regarding this selection. In my opinion, the value of Jayden Daniels with the 8th pick is too good to pass on. Jayden Daniels, Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts would bring excitement to Atlanta for the first time since 2016.
9.) Indianapolis Colts (TRADE via CHI): Malik Nabers WR, LSU
Colts receive: No. 9
Bears receive: No. 15, No. 46, 2025 2nd, 2025 4th
Indianapolis is going to thrive with Anthony Richardson behind center. The Colts want to bring back Michael Pittman Jr. However, imagine if the Colts had a guy like Malik Nabers alongside Pittman. As for the Bears, they already selected Marvin Harrison Jr. Moving back a few spots and gathering picks this year and next year to help fill out the roster will be ideal in this scenario.
10.) New York Jets: Jer’Zhan Newton IDL, Illinois
It’s no secret, the New York Jets need help on the offensive line. I’ve mocked them to select an offensive lineman in the past 2 mocks. However, I want to change it up here. Jer’Zhan Newton is an underrated prospect. If there wasn’t so much talent on the offensive side of the ball, Newton would be a top 5 pick. The Jets already have one of the best interior lineman in Quinnen Williams. Adding Newton next to Williams will make the Jets’ defense even more unstoppable.
11.) Minnesota Vikings: Dallas Turner EDGE, Alabama
Danielle Hunter might be out of Minnesota in 2024. Even if he’s not, adding Dallas Turner is a huge need to the pass rush. Turner is a power rusher who impresses with his closing speed on the outside runs. Vikings want to play fast on defense, adding Dallas Turner out of Alabama will help do just that.
12.) Denver Broncos: Kool-Aid McKinstry CB, Alabama
Denver could reach on a quarterback here, however they’re so far behind when it comes to being competitive. Patrick Surtain Jr. is playing at an all-pro level currently. He can’t do it alone, especially when the teams within the AFC West are pass-heavy teams. Adding Alabama’s Kool-Aid McKinstry or even Terrion Arnold would be an improvement to the Broncos’ secondary.
13.) Las Vegas Raiders: Terrion Arnold CB, Alabama
Vegas will be in trouble if they don’t hire Antonio Pierce as their next head coach. Maxx Crosby confirmed he would ask for a trade if Pierce isn’t the man calling the shots. To me, Pierce is the logical fit and will continue to build the team through the defensive side. Terrion Arnold out of Alabama could be the first corner selected. In this case, he’s the second corner.
14.) New Orleans Saints: Taliese Fuaga OL, Oregon State
New Orleans’ top need is IDL, and with Jer’Zhan Newton already off the board, the next best selection is to build through the trenches. The Saints have a great offensive line but are missing a hole in the interior. Ultimately, Fuaga can play tackle and guard when it comes to playing at the next level.
15.) Chicago Bears (TRADE via IND): Laiatu Latu EDGE, UCLA
Chicago landed Marvin Harrison Jr. and more picks for the future earlier in the mock. In this case, the Bears add another pass rusher alongside Montez Sweat. Additionally, Sweat has produced since his trade from the Commanders around the trade deadline. Latu is a phenomenal pass rusher that is still in need of development.
16.) Seattle Seahawks: Cooper DeJean CB, Iowa
I believe the Seahawks land a defensive-minded head coach when they make their decision. Seattle could look to beef up the trenches with pass rush but with how impressive their division rivals are in the passing game, Seattle needs to add another corner. DeJean is also a reliable punt returner and is one of the more exciting prospects in the 2024 Class.
17.) Kansas City Chiefs (TRADE via JAX): Rome Odunze WR, Washington
Chiefs receive: No. 17
Jaguars receive: No. 28, 2025 1st
Moving up 11 spots is tough in the first round. It usually takes a lot to move at all in the first round. The Chiefs are desperate for guys who can catch the ball. Rome Odunze falls more than he should and the Chiefs overpay to get their No. 1 wide receiver for the foreseeable future.
18.) Cincinnati Bengals: Keon Coleman WR, FSU
Cincinnati would be punching their draft board if Rome Odunze was about to fall in their laps. That’s why the Chiefs had to overpay for the pick. Don’t worry Bengal fans, Keon Coleman is similar to Tee Higgins. A great contested catcher that is reliable in clutch scenarios.
19.) Los Angeles Rams: Chop Robinson EDGE, PSU
I loved the Rams 2023 Draft Class. The additions of Puka Nacua, Byron Young, and Kobie Turner didn’t go unnoticed. The Rams’ offense seems alright and Sean McVay has always had a great defense in the Los Angeles Rams. Adding Chop Robinson who is raw but can develop into a top-10 pass rusher, is exactly what the Rams need.
20.) Pittsburgh Steelers: Amarius Mims OT, UGA
Mike Tomlin taking this Steelers team to the playoffs earned him a one-way ticket to Canton, Ohio. With that being said, the Steelers have to add to the offensive side of the ball. The trenches aren’t what they usually are for the Steelers. It’s time that they noticed it and drafted heavily in the offensive line. Amarius Mims is one of my favorite prospects in this class. Mims playing alongside his former UGA teammate Darnell Washington, would be fun to watch.
21.) Miami Dolphins: Quinyon Mitchell CB, Toledo
The Toledo prospect isn’t receiving much love as of now. Just wait until after the Senior Bowl for Mitchell to start earning first-round buzz. With Xavien Howard’s future coming to an end soon, the Dolphins need cornerbacks. Needless to say, adding one of the best in the draft is a huge addition.
22.) Philadelphia Eagles: Kamren Kinchens SAF, Miami
What the heck happened with the Eagles? Their defense seemed like they gave up in the final stretch of the season. Kamren Kinchens is a player that Eagle fans will absolutely love. He doesn’t quit on plays, he’s a huge hitter, and he’s intelligent as well. Safety has been a need for the Eagles for a few years now. They traded for Titans’ safety Kevin Byard at the trade deadline. However, it wasn’t enough to get them to the promised land.
23.) Philadelphia Eagles (TRADE VIA CLE/HOU): Brian Thomas Jr. WR, LSU
Eagles receive: No. 23
Texans receive: WR AJ Brown
Over the last few years, AJ Brown has been a top-three wide receiver in the league. There seemed to be a lot of tension between Jalen Hurts and Brown this season. Too much tension for me. That being said, the Eagles trade Brown to the Texans for this selection and end up replacing Brown with one of the best receivers in the draft.
Furthermore, Brian Thomas Jr. didn’t receive much praise from the media this season. Most of the praise went to Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers, however, I’ve seen some people suggest Thomas Jr. might be better than Nabers. If that’s the case, in the long term, the Eagles get a steal with this trade.
24.) Dallas Cowboys: Tyler Guyton OT, OU
Dallas might have a new head coach after their collapse against the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round. Tyron Smith is getting old and Tyler Smith seems relaxed at his guard spot. That being said, tackle is up for grabs and Tyler Guyton is currently climbing boards.
25.) Green Bay Packers: Jordan Morgan OT, Arizona
Green Bay looked like they didn’t need any offensive line when they manhandled Micah Parsons. However, the future is now for Green Bay, and they still need a tackle. Jordan Morgan has received a lot of second-round buzz but I think he’s a guy who can slip into the late first round.
26.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Troy Fautanu IOL, Washington
When you look at Washington’s success this season, a huge part of it was how balanced their team was. That’s what Fautanu brings to the table, he’s a balanced player. Troy Fautanu might be a Day 2 prospect but when you need offensive line help, you tend to reach.
27.) Arizona Cardinals (via HOU): AD Mitchell WR, Texas
Arizona added Brock Bowers earlier, now it’s time to draft his former UGA teammate in AD Mitchell. Mitchell might go higher than this but if he falls here, the Cardinals would be dumb to pass on him as Kyler needs a No. 1 wide receiver.
28.) Jacksonville Jaguars (TRADE VIA KC): Kamari Lassiter CB, UGA
The Jaguars haven’t had a No. 1 corner since Jalen Ramsey. Lassiter might be one of my favorite corners in the class. Whatever team lands him, will be lucky to see him develop into a top-20 corner in the NFL.
29.) Buffalo Bills: Xavier Legette WR, South Carolina
A lot of teams passed on DK Metcalf a few years ago. The Bills were one of them, I mocked DK to Buffalo that year and still wonder how much different Josh Allen and his numbers would look if they had a player that could do what DK Metcalf does. Xavier Legette is the pick for anyone who wants to redeem themselves for passing on DK Metcalf.
30.) Detroit Lions: Nate Wiggins CB, Clemson
Detroit is one of the most balanced teams in the league. Their main concern this off-season is to try and land a top corner in the draft or as a free agent. Maybe they try and trade up for one of the Alabama corners? They’re not afraid to trade as we’ve seen the past 2 years when they traded up/back for Alabama’s Jameson Williams in 2022, and Jahmyr Gibbs in 2023.
31.) Atlanta Falcons (TRADE VIA SF): Jared Verse EDGE, FSU
Falcons receive: No. 31
49ers receive: No. 43, No. 74, No. 110
If the Falcons land a premier pass rusher in free agency I could 100% see them trying to trade up for another pass rusher in the later parts of the first round. Atlanta already selected their franchise quarterback in LSU’s Jayden Daniels. This time, they trade up and give up a haul for one of the best pass rushers in the nation.
32.) Minnesota Vikings (TRADE via BAL): Michael Penix Jr QB, Washington
Vikings receive: No. 32
Ravens receive: No. 42, No. 104, 2025 3rd
Minnesota has to walk away from the 2024 NFL Draft with some sort of plan at quarterback. Michael Penix Jr. is perfect for the Vikings’ scheme. Kirk Cousins flashed in this system, so I expect MPJ to do the same or even better. An offense consisting of: Michael Penix Jr., Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and TJ Hockenson would be fun to watch for years.
