2025 Dynasty Fantasy Football Rankings: Top 10 Quarterbacks
In this article, we’ll be taking an early look at the top 10 2025 dynasty fantasy football rankings at quarterback.
10. Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs
I know. I know. It’s Patrick Mahomes and it was only a year and a half ago in 2022 that he finished as the QB1 overall. Over the majority of the past two seasons, he’s putting up mid-QB2 production numbers.
Can someone explain to me how his situation will improve moving forward? Next year Travis Kelce will be turning 36 early on in the 2025 season. Additionally, while he is producing lately, he doesn’t seem to be the dominant force he once was and is surely on his last legs and may retire this offseason. 2024 rookie Xavier Worthy has yet to live up to his first-round draft status. The Chiefs’ best receiver Rashee Rice, suffered a torn ACL in early October, and there is no guarantee how he will produce once he eventually returns to the lineup. Additionally, DeAndre Hopkins, JuJuu Smith-Schuster, and Hollywood Brown are all free agents at the end of the season.
The Chiefs also boast one of the best defenses in the league, meaning Mahomes and the Chiefs are not forced to score a lot of points or play from behind.
Mahomes may be the best quarterback in the league but he is no longer the best fantasy football quarterback – far from it.
9. Brock Purdy – San Francisco 49ers
Not in a million years did I ever think that I would rank Brock Purdy ahead of Patrick Mahomes in any dynasty rankings. Yet, here we are. All he has done since taking over the starting job for the 49ers midway through the 2022 season is produce.
In 2023 he finished as the QB6 and this season he is going to finish as a top-10 quarterback once again. Furthermore, Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle are under contract for the 2025 season. Aiyuk who tore his ACL earlier in the year will be returning in 2025 along with rookie Ricky Pearsall. For now, Deebo Samuel is set to be a free agent.
Purdy is not the sexy quarterback to be on this list. However, he doesn’t need to be to produce at a QB1 level. This type of production can be extremely underrated in a long-term dynasty league.
8. C.J. Stroud – Houston Texans
To say the least, Stroud has had a disappointing 2024 season. His numbers have been way down across the board. Unfortunately, he has been unstartable for many weeks this season.
How much of his dip in production this season has been due to the injuries to receivers Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs or to a second-year regression? That remains to be seen.
Stroud is only one year removed from a sensational rookie season where he finished as the QB11. Impressively, despite missing two games. Finally, he is only 23 years of age and still remains the leader of an ascending offense in Houston.
7. Jordan Love – Green Bay Packers
When Love was given control of the reigns of the Packers offense in 2023, he demonstrated that he was the heir apparent to Aaron Rodgers. As a result, he finished the season as the QB5.
Furthermore, Love is only 26 years old and is surrounded by a lot of young offensive talent. They have a handful of young talented pass catchers in Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks, and Tucker Kraft.
Overall, Love will be the centerpiece of a productive Packers offense for years to come. This can bring immense value to your dynasty league football teams.
6. Joe Burrow – Cincinnati Bengals
Burrow has struggled to stay on the field the past two seasons. However, when healthy he has produced at an elite level. Despite the team’s struggles, Burrow has reminded everyone just why he was the first overall pick in the 2020 draft. Oh, and getting to throw the ball to one of the league’s best receivers, if not the best in Ja’Marr Chase, doesn’t hurt either. Tee Higgins and his future with the team remains to be seen, but he should be gone next year.
5. Kyler Murray – Arizona Cardinals
Murray begins my top five. Here, if you notice, all of them possess that dual-threat combination of rushing and passing. This is no coincidence. The ability of a quarterback to run the football gives him a safe floor when the passing disappears or is not up to par for the week. If both the passing and rushing are working for a game, well then you end up with a top-end QB1 for the week.
Unfortunately, Murray has struggled to stay healthy over the past few years. However, when he last played a full season in 2020 he rushed for over 800 yards and 11 touchdowns and finished as the QB1 (excluding Week 17)
.
This season Murray has been healthy and has shown the rushing threat that made him dominant in 2020. The 27-year-old is part of a young ascending offense with players such as Marvin Harrison Jr., Trey McBride, and Trey Benson.
4. Jayden Daniels – Washington Commanders
The 23-year-old rookie out of LSU has taken the NFL and the fantasy community by storm. He is the odds-on favorite to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. As a result, he’s been an absolute steal in 2024 fantasy football leagues.
Furthermore, Daniels has rushed for almost 500 yards and four touchdowns while also showing the ability to be an elite downfield passer. In the end, it would not surprise me at all to see Daniels crack the top two or three in these rankings for 2026.
3. Jalen Hurts – Philadelphia Eagles
I have to admit that I wasn’t a big fan of Hurts coming into the season. He was even a sell for me in dynasty leagues during the offseason. Was I wrong?
While his rushing totals are down from previous years, he has already scored 10 rushing touchdowns. Needless to say, the “tush push” is still growing strong.
Hurts will be the mastermind for the high-powered Eagles offense for years to come. With an excellent supporting cast in receivers A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, and superstar running back Saquon Barkley, this offense is loaded. Take advantage of Hurts in your dynasty leagues.
2. Josh Allen – Buffalo Bills
QB2, QB1, QB2, QB1. Those are Allen’s season finishes for the past four years. Needless to say, it doesn’t get much more consistent or elite than that.
His rushing numbers are down from previous years. However, even with the decrease in rushing production, he has still produced at a high level for fantasy football purposes.
Allen’s offensive weapons will never be compared to that of Hurts or Jackson’s. However, the 28-year-old has a decent supporting cast in receivers Dalton Kincaid, Amari Cooper, rookie Keon Coleman, and Khalil Shakir to go along with backs James Cook and rookie Ray Davis. In the end, that will help maintain his elite QB1 status.
1. Lamar Jackson – Baltimore Ravens
Jackson is on a mission this year. It’s no surprise, his game has transcended to another level. He’s been the QB1 overall for the majority of the 2024 season and averaging over 25 fantasy points per game.
Where Jackson has stepped up his game is on the passing side. He is on pace to throw for over 40 touchdowns and more than 4,500 yards. Furthermore, Jackson is also spoiled by a ton of offensive weapons in the Ravens arsenal, including Derrick Henry, receivers Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Mark Andrews, and Isaiah Likely.
Jackson is the odds-on favorite to win the league MVP this season. More importantly, he is easily the No. 1 ranked quarterback in dynasty fantasy football and wraps up our top 15 quarterback rankings.
