2025 NFL Draft – Draft Prop Bets and Betting Odds

0

The 2025 NFL Draft is shaping up to be an electrifying event for football fans and bettors alike. This year, it is set to take place in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from April 24-26. Every year, there are exciting prop bets and it’s crucial to take advantage of the best betting odds on the market. Today, I’ll be breaking down some of my favorite NFL Draft prop bets using the latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook.

2025 NFL Draft Prop Bets

First Overall Pick

The race for the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft is the marquee market. Right now on FanDuel, it’s a quarterback showdown. The Tennessee Titans, locked into the top spot after a brutal 2024 season, are poised to grab a franchise signal-caller. Miami’s Cam Ward leads the pack at +100 on FanDuel, a shift from earlier in the offseason when Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders held the favorite tag. Ward’s ascent—fueled by a Heisman-finalist season with 43 total touchdowns and a 76.5% adjusted completion rate—makes him the chalk.

Ultiamtely, Ward is a near-lock, with odds tightening from -135 in January to even money now. The Titans’ desperate need for a QB after Will Levis floundered seals the case. Enter Cam Ward, the talented quarterback from the Miami Hurricanes.

Despite the safe pick of Ward, there are certainly juicier options so don’t sleep on the field. Colorado’s two-way phenom Travis Hunter sits at +850, a juicy longshot if a team trades up or Tennessee pivots to a game-changer elsewhere. Hunter’s odds have swung wildly from +1800 last Fall to +400 in February. Thanks to his unique cornerback/receiver skill set.

Then there’s Penn State’s Abdul Carter (+150), an edge rusher whose stock soared, making him one of our NFL Combine Winners. Additionally, Sanders (+650), who’s faded but could rebound with a strong pre-draft process. At +100, Ward’s the safe play. However, Hunter’s upside screams value at this price.

Best Bet: Cam Ward +100 (conservative) or Travis Hunter +850 (high-risk, high-reward)

Position Prop Bets: Quarterback Odds

The 2025 class is a quarterback goldmine, and the Total QB’s Drafted in Round 1 prop is tempting. Set at 4.5, the Over is juiced at -120, reflecting the depth: Ward, Sanders, Georgia’s Carson Beck, Texas’ Quinn Ewers, and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe are all looking like first-round locks.

Last year’s draft saw six quarterbacks go in Round 1. This year, with teams like the Giants, Raiders, and Browns circling, history could repeat. The over is a trendy pick and given the NFL’s quarterback obsession, it’s hard to argue against it.

Best Bet: Over 4.5 QBs (-120)

First Non-Quarterback Off the Board

If the Titans shock the world and skip a QB, or if the top pick trades hands, the First Non-QB Drafted market heats up. Hunter’s the favorite at +200, a nod to his versatility and star power. Tennessee edge rusher James Pearce Jr. (+650) and Penn State’s Carter (+400) trail, appealing to defensive-minded teams like the Commanders (No. 2) or Patriots (No. 3). Hunter’s the play here as his ceiling could tempt a non-QB-needy franchise to draft him early.

Best Bet: Travis Hunter +200

First Defensive Player Selected

The First Defensive Player Drafted prop pits Pearce Jr. (+650) against Carter (+400), with Hunter (+850) lurking. Pearce’s athleticism and Tennessee’s stout defense make him a sleeper. However, Carter’s recent hype suggests he’s the safer bet as he’s down to +150 for No. 1 overall. In the end, if quarterback mania dominates the top three, Pearce could sneak in as the Commanders or Cardinals prioritize an edge rusher.

Best Bet: James Pearce Jr. +650 (value pick)
