The first round of the 2025 NFL Draft sent shockwaves through the fantasy football landscape. With high-profile rookies landing in ideal situations and veterans benefiting from strategic team moves, several players emerged as clear winners for the upcoming fantasy season. Below, we break down the biggest fantasy football beneficiaries from Day 1, highlighting rookies poised for immediate impact. Continue reading as we break down the 2025 NFL Draft winners for fantasy football and dynasty leagues.
Omarion Hampton (RB) Los Angeles Chargers
The biggest winner of the draft. Period. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’m genuinely tempted to take Omarion Hampton at 1.01 in dynasty rookie drafts. The Chargers didn’t just address a need — they landed a potential franchise cornerstone in the backfield.
At 5’11, 220 pounds, and running a 4.4 40-yard dash, Hampton possesses elite physical traits that make him a matchup nightmare. His 97.8 RAS score places him in the top 45 most athletic running backs since 1987. That’s no fluke. He brings a violent, downhill running style reminiscent of Nick Chubb. He runs through contact, finishes every carry with authority, and punishes defenders at the second level.
Now pair that with a run-first offensive identity, one of the best young offensive lines in the league, and Jim Harbaugh, a head coach who lives to dominate the trenches. Make no mistake — the Chargers are going to POUND the rock. More importantly, Hampton fits that vision perfectly and could earn a heavy workload right out of the gate. Overall, he’s a locked-in dynasty building block and a sleeper redraft breakout candidate with massive upside. Bottom line? Draft aggressively.
Emeka Egbuka (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Fire away in dynasty. Emeka Egbuka is an absolute dog — and one of the receivers I’m most infatuated with in this entire class. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are still producing at a high level, but both are entering the back nine of their careers. The Bucs know it, and they made a forward-thinking move by drafting Egbuka to be Baker Mayfield’s future WR1.
He’s yet another high-IQ, high-floor weapon from Ohio State’s elite wide receiver pipeline, bringing Amon-Ra St. Brown-level route precision and surefire hands. Egbuka consistently creates separation, wins in traffic, and brings the kind of polish and versatility that translates immediately to the NFL. He can line up inside or out, move the chains, and become a quarterback’s best friend.
He joins the ranks of Terry McLaurin, Chris Olave, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. All Buckeyes who entered the league were ready to contribute. More importantly, Egbuka fits that mold perfectly. He should offer flex-worthy PPR value right away. However, the long-term upside is what really excites me. His ceiling is firmly in the WR1 conversation for years to come. Smash this pick.
Matthew Golden (WR) Green Bay Packers
In my opinion? Matthew Golden has the upside to be the best wide receiver in this draft class. Now he lands in Green Bay. Overall, this is a perfect fit. Jordan Love just got his WR1 of the future. Jayden Reed is an elite slot weapon, but the Packers needed a true alpha on the outside… and they got one.
Golden flies a bit under the radar, but make no mistake. He has some of the highest upside in the entire class. He’s arguably the best pure separator in the draft, which says a lot considering how deep this class is with technical route runners. Additionally, his release package, footwork, and ability to create space at every level of the field evoke strong Stefon Diggs comparisons.
Furthermore, Golden is a versatile weapon who can line up anywhere. Outside, in the slot, and in motion. Moreover, Matt LaFleur’s system thrives on that kind of flexibility. Green Bay has long been praised for its ability to scout and develop wideouts. With Christian Watson fading from the long-term picture, the door is wide open for Golden to step in and shine.
Expect a solid target share from Day 1 and major value growth as the season progresses. Overall, this is a home run pick in both dynasty and redraft at cost.
Tyler Warren (TE) Indianapolis Colts
Let’s not overthink it. This is an awesome landing spot for Tyler Warren. Don’t worry about Daniel Jones. His game is about to take a serious step forward now that he’s on an actual football team with an actual head coach. Let’s be real… The Giants haven’t been a real team in years. Additionally, with the worst GM in football running the show, they might as well be in the UFL. However, under Shane Steichen, this Colts offense is the real deal.
Steichen is an offensive-minded guru with a track record of maximizing tight ends going back to his Philly days — and now, enter Tyler Warren. Warren’s going to be featured early and often. He’s got the athleticism, toughness, and route versatility to thrive in this system.
Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised if his rookie impact mirrors what we saw from Brock Bowers. Warren is easily one of the best college football tight ends I’ve ever watched. This isn’t just an elite dynasty stash — it’s also a sneaky-great late-round redraft value. Ultimately, Warren is a big-time fantasy football winner from the 2025 NFL Draft class.
