2025 NFL Mock Draft: First Round
Below is our first edition of the 2025 NFL Mock Draft. This edition features all 32 picks from the first round, with two quarterbacks in the top five. It’s important to be prepared as many of these players may be on your future fantasy football rosters. Let’s get right into the first player off the board.
- New York Giants: Cam Ward, QB, Miami
Ward, the top quarterback in the draft, has excellent tools and was incredibly productive at Miami this season. Ward has elevated the players around him at his three stops in college and will be able to do the same at the next level. The Giants will select a quarterback in the first round this year, and Ward brings everything a team wants in a franchise quarterback. - Jacksonville Jaguars: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado
Jacksonville could be a trade-back option for teams looking to move up for a quarterback. However, Travis Hunter might be too tough to pass up. He has the talent to be outstanding at either cornerback or wide receiver, which are two positions of need for the Jaguars. - Las Vegas Raiders: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
The Raiders are another team that will likely take a quarterback in this draft, and with Ward off the board, they go with Sanders here. He doesn’t have special tools but is accurate to all three levels of the field. In the end, the upside might not be there, but the Raiders must upgrade the position. - Carolina Panthers: Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia
Walker, the most dominant defensive player in the country, has shown up in every big game for Georgia this season. Additionally, he can be a superstar at either linebacker or as an edge rusher at the next level. Carolina desperately needs talent on the defensive side of the ball, and Walker could step in and be an impact player with All-Pro upside. - New England Patriots: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
Carter is a gifted pass rusher who has steadily improved this season. Comparisons to former Penn State player Micah Parsons are common, and Carter has the potential to be an elite player in the NFL. New England may also consider wide receiver or tackle, but Carter is a great fit here. - Tennessee Titans: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
Head Coach Brian Callahan has always had good receivers in Cincinnati, so it makes sense for them to address the position early. McMillan is a big-bodied, physical receiver who could pair well with Calvin Ridley. - New Orleans Saints: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
With Cam Jordan aging and Chase Young on a one-year deal, defensive end is a priority for the Saints. Williams has the traits the Saints love in pass rushers, and although his production has been inconsistent, his upside is undeniable. - Cincinnati Bengals: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
The Bengals’ defense has struggled this season, and they’ll need to invest heavily in improving it. Notably, Johnson is pro-ready with natural ball skills. More importantly, he would be a solid addition to the secondary alongside Cam Taylor-Britt. - New York Jets: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
The Jets have a lot of talent, and pairing Graham with Quinnen Williams would create a formidable defensive line. Graham is an excellent pass rusher and run defender and offers great value for the Jets at this pick. - Dallas Cowboys: Marcus Mbow, OT/OG, Purdue
Mbow has the versatility to play both tackle and guard and is one of the most gifted offensive linemen in this year’s class. With Zack Martin aging, Mbow could be a long-term solution for the Cowboys’ offensive line. - Indianapolis Colts: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
The Colts need a reliable tight end, and Warren is the best in this draft. He has a rare combination of size and athleticism, and his yards-after-catch ability makes him an elite prospect at the position. - Cleveland Browns: Will Campbell, OT/OG, LSU
The Browns need offensive line help, and Campbell could be the solution. He can play both tackle and guard and would be an immediate contributor in Cleveland’s offensive line. - Chicago Bears: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
Although not a huge need, Jeanty would add to the Bears’ backfield as one of the best running back prospects in recent years. His contact balance and production would ease the pressure on Caleb Williams. - Miami Dolphins: Armand Membou, OT/OG, Missouri
Membou is an elite pass protector who can excel at both tackle and guard. The Dolphins have a weak offensive line, and Membou could step in as a plug-and-play starter. - Los Angeles Rams: Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas
A pick for the future, Ewers would be a strong fit for the Rams’ offense. Stafford is aging and dealing with injuries, so Ewers could serve as insurance while developing for the future. - Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
Burden had a down year but is still a first-round talent. The Buccaneers could lose Chris Godwin in free agency, and Burden would be a great fit to fill that role. - San Francisco 49ers: James Pearce Jr., DE, Tennessee
The 49ers need a true number two pass rusher opposite Nick Bosa. Pearce Jr. has shown potential and could be a valuable contributor to the defensive line. - Arizona Cardinals: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon
Harmon has had a breakout season and could provide a significant boost to the Cardinals’ defensive line. Arizona’s defense is still lacking top-tier talent, and adding Harmon would help. - Atlanta Falcons: Shemar Stewart, DL, Texas A&M
Stewart has massive upside as a defensive lineman. Atlanta needs help on the pass rush, and Stewart’s potential makes him an enticing pick. - Seattle Seahawks: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
Seattle values linebacker play, and Campbell’s freaky athleticism makes him a prime candidate. He has breakout potential and could develop into a key player for the Seahawks. - Washington Commanders: Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina
Despite an injury, Revel Jr. has been a standout cornerback and could be the solution Washington needs for their secondary. With Emmanuel Forbes released, Revel could step in and start right away. - Houston Texans: Wyatt Milum, OG, West Virginia
The Texans still need a reliable left guard, and Milum has shown excellent technique and consistency. He’d be a safe, impactful pick for Houston’s offensive line. - Denver Broncos: Kelvin Banks Jr., OT/OG, Texas
Whether at tackle or guard, Banks Jr. is a solid choice for Denver. His versatility and quality play could help upgrade the Broncos’ offensive line. - Baltimore Ravens: Malaki Starks, DS, Georgia
Starks is a top-ten talent who would be great value for the Ravens at 24. He’d form an elite safety duo with Kyle Hamilton. - Los Angeles Chargers: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
Loveland could be a key offensive weapon for the Chargers. With limited depth at receiver, Loveland would add versatility and give Justin Herbert another weapon. - Pittsburgh Steelers: Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss
Nolen has the potential to be better than the 26th pick but has been inconsistent. Pittsburgh has a solid track record of developing defensive linemen, making this a good spot for Nolen to reach his potential. - Green Bay Packers: LT Overton, DE, Alabama
Overton has breakout potential as an edge rusher, and the Packers need help at the position. He could develop behind Rashan Gary and Lukas Van Ness. - Minnesota Vikings: Grey Zabel, OT/OG, North Dakota State
Zabel has been excellent this season and would be an immediate upgrade for the Vikings’ offensive line. He has the potential to be a long-term starter. - Philadelphia Eagles: Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas
Bond adds speed to the Eagles’ offense, providing a dynamic playmaker. Although a bit of a reach, his potential could help take Philadelphia’s offense to the next level. - Buffalo Bills: Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
Grant is a strong run-stuffer with upside as a pass rusher. The Bills could benefit from adding Grant to their defensive line. - Kansas City Chiefs: Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky
Walker’s traits could be too tempting for the Chiefs to pass up, despite a disappointing season. He has the potential to become a dominant force on their defensive line. - Detroit Lions: Azareye’h Thomas, CB, Florida State
Thomas has been overlooked due to Florida State’s struggles. However, he has certainly been impressive this season. Here, the Lions could add another cornerback to their secondary for great value at 32. The red-hot Detroit Lions and their high-powered offense wrap up this 2025 NFL mock draft.
