3 Dynasty Wide Receivers To Sell

There are many factors that could impact a player’s value in fantasy football, especially in Dynasty formats. In this article, I will discuss Fantasy Football Wide Receivers who I believe will lose value in the 2022 season.

Tyreek Hill

According to Sleeper’s ADP for Superflex leagues, Hill is going as the WR10. Meanwhile, KeepTradeCut (KTC) values him as the WR13. Hill is being drafted in the third round. He has been a great steady wide receiver for fantasy the past six seasons. He finished in the Top-12 in four of those years.

While Hill was with Patrick Mahomes for those seasons, he now has Tua Tagovailoa as his quarterback. Undeniably a significant downgrade. They already have Jaylen Waddle who had a great rookie season last year but not sure Tagovailoa can excel enough to make two wide receivers fantasy relevant.

Hill is also 28 years old and relies fully on his speed which will tend to fall off in the near future.

Drake London

According to Sleeper, London’s ADP is the WR15 in dynasty leagues while KTC values him as the WR12. London is currently being drafted in the fourth round. I know this is not going to be a popular pick during the hype of rookie season, but London is walking into a situation where Kyle Pitts is the only other player in the offense that will be targeted.

I think London will be targeted a ton but his quarterbacks this year are Marcus Mariota and Desmond Ridder. London wins the jump ball but lacks separation to win most routes. I think he will be good but not sure he should already be drafted as a borderline WR1.

I get that we love the hype and potential following great rookies like Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase the past couple of seasons but rookies hit at a 68% rate. When I talk about hit rate though, that means a Top-36 wide receiver.

A rookie that was drafted in the first round only hits WR1 at a 35% hit rate. Basically, there is a one in three shot that he becomes elite. London is being drafted like he is elite and he has a 65% chance to never become that. His ADP is between guys like Tee Higgins and Michael Pittman. I would rather draft either of those guys over London.

Chris Godwin

According to Sleeper, Godwin’s ADP is the WR20, and KTC values him as the WR19. Godwin is being drafted in the fifth round. He is coming off the second-best season of his career but he is also coming back from his torn ACL and MCL. The Buccaneers really have no reason to rush him back, especially since they’ll be looking to make a playoff run.

Godwin will miss time and will most likely start off slow when he returns to the field. I would rather have DJ Moore or Diontae Johnson, who are currently being drafted right around Godwin in the fifth round.

Moore has been able to produce with crappy quarterbacks. Johnson has been able to produce with a regressive Ben Roethlisberger who has been a shell of himself entering his retirement. Godwin has Tom Brady for this year but his future remains uncertain. Brady could retire at any time and no one would be shocked.

Hit me up @joshreedy5 and tell me why you agree or disagree and who some of your sell-now wide receivers are!
