Must Start Wide Receivers in Fantasy Football Week 11
Each week there are wide receivers that emerge as difference makers for your fantasy football team, whether in your starting lineup or as valuable depth. Choosing the correct players at this volatile position on a weekly basis is a necessary skill on the path to a fantasy football championship. These wide receivers highlighted below have a combination of positive matchups and game scripts, opportunities for targets, and the skill to help you win your Week 11 matchup. Ceedee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys
Despite the horrific performance from the Dallas Cowboys and starting QB Cooper Rush in Week 10, Ceedee Lamb has a chance to bounce back in a big way in Week 11. The veteran wide receiver takes on the Houston Texans this week, a team that’s been in the bottom 10 against WRs and allowed four top 10 performances to the position over the last three weeks. Lamb and the Cowboys will have plenty of passing volume as they look to keep up with the Texans, who look to get Nico Collins into the lineup after he practiced on Thursday.
The University of Oklahoma product saw a 31% target share and ten touches last week despite sitting out late in a blowout loss. With elite volume and an easier matchup, I like Lamb to return to a solid WR2 this week and he should be started with confidence. Look to buy Lamb if your league mates are panicking after the down performance and get him in your Week 11 lineups.
Jauan Jennings, WR, San Francisco 49ers
Jauan Jennings led the San Francisco 49ers in targets, receptions, and receiving yards last week in a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This was the first week that the University of Tennessee product played without fellow WR Brandon Aiyuk, who is out for the season after suffering an injury to his ACL and MCL. Jennings should continue being a focal point of the 49ers passing offense with the vacated targets from Aiyuk’s injury, strong on-field performance, and lingering injury issues for Deebo Samuel.
The 49ers take on the Seattle Seahawks this week, a team that’s allowed the 10th most yards per game to WRs over the past five weeks. The Seahawks are allowing the 8th most fantasy points per game to WRs and make for an excellent matchup.
In the two games that the veteran wide receiver has played without one of Aiyuk or Samuel, he’s averaged 31.4 PPR points per game. While I don’t expect Jennings to keep up that pace, he is firmly entrenched in the “X” WR position that Aiyuk was playing and should be in the WR2 range for fantasy managers this week. Get Jennings in your lineup where you have him and look to acquire him as a priority target ahead of this Week 11 matchup.
Rome Odunze, WR, Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears offense has been a disaster during their three-game losing streak, averaging 9 points per game during that span. The team fired former offensive coordinator Shane Waldron as they look for a spark.
Rome Odunze has been one of the few bright spots during the three-game slide, he’s led the team in yards, receptions, and yards per target. The rookie wide receiver has shown a solid connection with QB Caleb Williams and continues to be more efficient with his targets than fellow WRs D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen.
This week the Bears take on the Green Bay Packers, who are currently 5.5-point favorites according to DraftKings. The Bears will need to throw to keep up with an explosive Packer’s offense and I like the University of Washington product to continue his strong play in this matchup.
Odunze is the WR45 according to the consensus on FantasyPros, but I like the rookie as a low-end WR3 this week. Odunze is someone to target ahead of Week 11 as he looks to continue to get more comfortable at the NFL level and produce in a new offensive system.
Elijah Moore, WR, Cleveland Browns
Elijah Moore and the Cleveland Browns take on the New Orleans Saints in Week 11. The Saints have been a bottom-12 defense against WRs in fantasy and have given up the most points per game to slot WRs. The Saints’ defense has gotten worse after a hot start to the season and the trade of CB Marshon Lattimore.
Moore has been QB Jameis Winston’s favorite target over his two starts, leading the team with a 23% target share. The Ole Miss product is currently outside of the top 45 WRs in consensus rankings but is a great value given his consistent volume and plus matchup. Moore is a great target for those looking for a WR3 or flex help in Week 11 and an excellent waiver wire addition if he’s out there.
