6 Buy Low Candidates for Fantasy Football in 2024
As we head into the new fantasy football season, finding players to buy low on is important. Whether their current ADP is low due to injuries in the previous years or landing with a new team, there’s always some value to be found. Today, we are breaking down six players worth buying low on or targeting late in your fantasy football drafts. Additionally, these may be players who you might consider making an offer for in your dynasty leagues. Let’s get right into it.
Diontae Johnson WR Carolina Panthers
After spending five seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, veteran wide receiver Diontae Johnson will join the Carolina Panthers. Xavier Legette was drafted in Round 1, 32nd overall, back at the 2024 NFL Draft. However, Johnson is plenty proven, and the only other veteran competition is Adam Thielen. Look for Bryce Young to potentially take a step forward in his second season in the league.
Nick Chubb RB Cleveland Browns
At this point, there is a chance that Nick Chubb can start in Week 1 this year. Despite the awful knee injury, Chubb is reportedly back and running at full speed. Remember, the injury was early last year, on Monday Night Football in Week 2 against the Steelers. It may take him a while to get going, but this Browns offensive line is one of the best in the NFL.
Raheem Mostert RB Miami Dolphins
Coming off a massive season with 21 touchdowns, Raheem Mostert again looks like a value. While De’Von Achane is the younger and more exciting player, Mostert will certainly be involved and utilized heavily by the Miami Dolphins once again. The offensive line for Miami is fairly average, but their backfield was one of the best in the NFL last year.
Overall, you can get Mostert for very cheap and he might even be worth buying low on in your dynasty fantasy football leagues. Despite how good Achane has looked, Mostert will get the usage you want at a much cheaper price.
Kendre Miller RB New Orleans Saints
Heading into 2024, the New Orleans Saints backfield is fairly crowded with Alvin Kamara, Kendre Miller, and Jamaal Williams. Last year, this team ran the football the 10th-most in the NFL. Coming out of the 2023 rookie draft class, Miller was among the higher-ranked running backs. Despite the rough landing spot behind a workhorse like Kamara, Miller could get involved sooner rather than later.
Kamara will be 29 years old in the 2024 season, and Williams is already 29. Needless to say, they are aging running backs, while Kamara is much more of a threat to touches. Overall, Miller could end up being a value this year.
Brandin Cooks WR Dallas Cowboys
Heading into the 2024 season, Brandin Cooks is the WR2 for the Dallas Cowboys. We all know that CeeDee Lamb is a certified stud and will be one of the best wide receivers in fantasy football. However, this Cowboys team threw the ball the 8th-most in the NFL last year. Additionally, Dak Prescott is in a contract year and will likely be out to prove why he deserves a payday. As long as he’s on the field, Cooks looks like a solid depth piece and could offer decent value.
Kyler Murray QB Arizona Cardinals
According to FantasyPros, Kyler Murray is currently being drafted as the QB10. With rookie Marvin Harrison Jr., Murray could be in for a bounce-back season in 2024. Murray is a fantastic option if you’re waiting to draft a quarterback this year. All things considered, there could be a scenario where Murray could have a top-five overall upside at the quarterback position.
