Buccaneers @ Patriots: Week 4 Player Props

0

Sunday of Week 4 in the NFL is capped off with one of the most exciting matchups of the week as Tom Brady heads back to New England to take on the Patriots. However this matchup goes, it should be a fun one to watch as Brady needs just 68 yards to pass Drew Brees for the all-time passing record in the NFL. The record is set at 80,358 and Brady has 80,291. When Brees broke this record last year in New Orleans it was a whole ordeal as they stopped the game and David Baker the Pro Football Hall of Fame president and CEO came onto the field and took the ball as well. Needless to say, it’ll be interesting to see what happens tonight as Brady inevitably breaks the record. The FF Faceoff staff has some player props for you to consider putting some money on in Buccaneers @ Patriots: Week 4 Player Props.

Player Props

Mac Jones Over 1.5 Passing TDs (-102 FanDuel)

Tampa Bay has been shown to be beatable through the air and has given up at least two pass touchdowns to every team they’ve faced, including the Falcons. As mentioned above, their secondary is struggling with injuries and will likely continue to struggle in Week 4. The Buccaneers currently give up an average of 338.3 passing yards per game, dead last in the NFL. – @fantasyaustin

Jakobi Meyers Over 65.5 Yards (-115 DraftKings)

Tampa’s weakened secondary is going to allow New England to throw. Jakobi Meyers is coming off his best game catching 9/14 targets for 94 yards. The Patriots running game will likely be a non-factor in this game, I’ll take another solid game from Meyers here. – @lobosffden

Antonio Brown Over 55.5 Receiving Yards (-110 DraftKings)

I’m going to smash the over on Antonio Brown’s 49.5 receiving yards. He started the season with 121 receiving yards in a high-scoring affair with the Cowboys. In six career games against the Patriots, Brown has beaten that prop number four times while averaging 75 receiving yards per game. This isn’t just a revenge game for Brady, but Brown will also be looking to beat up his former team. – @ffrabbitdad

Cameron Brate Over 2.5 Receptions (-160 Caesar’s)

Cameron Brate Over 32.5 Yards (-115 Caesar’s)

With Gronkowski on the sideline, I’ll be hammering the overs on the Cameron  Brate props. Brady loves his tight ends and Brate caught 4/5 last week for 35 yards even while Gronkowski caught 4/7 for 55. Brate has played in 35.8% of the offensive snaps this year despite Gronkowski doing what he’s done, sitting at the TE2 in PPR leagues. Brate will be the guy to fill in, not OJ Howard and I expect Brady to look his way fairly often tonight. – @fantasysavvy

Chris Godwin Over 5.5 Receptions (+114 FanDuel)

Chris Godwin has been the “safest” of the three Buccaneers wide receivers this year, leading them all in snap percentage (94.5%), total snaps (190), targets (26), receptions (19), yards (241), and touchdowns (3). Outside of Gronkowski, Godwin has been Brady’s favorite target and he’s had 6 or more catches in 2/3 of their games this year. – @aaron_schill

Notable Injuries

The biggest injury to note in this one is Rob Gronkowski who will reportedly miss this game with several fractured ribs and a punctured lung. This is a bit surprising as he did return to the game last week after he suffered the injury and it was looking like he’d be active this week, especially given the matchup. The Buccaneers will also be without Jason Pierre-Paul, Giovani Bernard, and Jamel Dean, with their best cornerback Carlton Davis also banged up. Health was one of the biggest factors for the Buccaneers last year and this year it’s been a bit rough to start. Recently the Buccaneers signed Richard Sherman, and their secondary has been pretty bad once again.
