Caesars Sportsbook Review
Caesars Sportsbook
The world of online gambling has exploded in the past few years, and many familiar names in the casino space have been dabbling in creating their own online sportsbook. Last year, Caesars Entertainment purchased William Hill and rebranded it as “Caesars Sportsbook.”
You might have visited one of Caesars Entertainment’s casinos. And I think everyone who owns a television has seen their ubiquitous sportsbook commercials starring J.B. Smoove as Caesar.
Caesars Sportsbook has spiked in popularity since the acquisition of William Hill, but they still lag behind DraftKings and FanDuel.
If you’ve been thinking about trying out Caesars Sportsbook, here’s everything you need to know before you place your bets.
Sign Up and Promotions
Caesars Sportsbook makes it easy to sign up, but they really only offer one promotion to first-time users, a risk-free bet up to $1,500. This is an exciting promotion for high rollers looking to place a large bet, but isn’t quite as appealing to more casual players who might prefer a promotion that matches the first deposit that would allow them to disperse their “free money” between a few different smaller bets.
Caesars did supply a few free bonuses in my first week using the app, offering a free $10 MLB bet and a couple of odds boosts for parlays within the first week of using the app. These were definitely nice to get, but nothing particularly special, when compared to the free bets and odds, boosts offered by other sportsbooks.
To claim your first risk-free bet, be sure to use the promo code BESTODDS.

Mobile Interface
The user interface is easy to use on your phone, though it’s not as quick or responsive as some of the more familiar apps. The app is also a little busier than the others, with a variety of graphics that promote different boosts or promos. This was a little frustrating since these graphics are distracting and take up such a large portion of the phone’s smaller screen.
Overall, the mobile app is good enough, but nothing special. Compared to the other big names, it’s definitely a step down in quality. It takes some time to figure the different quirks out, but, generally, it’s pretty easy to navigate if you’ve used other sportsbooks apps in the past. The different sports and betting options are listed at the top and you should be able to easily find the action you want.
Website Interface
Caesars Sportsbook website is slightly easier to navigate than their mobile app. The larger screen allows plenty of room for the promotional graphics, which makes things less cluttered. The different sports and betting options are listed on both the sidebar and at the top of your screen, making it very easy to find your preferred action.
Although navigating the Caesars app is easier, it is much less convenient than pulling up the app on your phone. The search option is very handy and everything seems much less cluttered. Anyone who has trouble reading small print or using mobile apps will prefer Caesars Sportsbook’s website.
Player Prop Bets
Caesars Sportsbook does offer player props, but not quite as many as the other big names in the online sportsbook world. But there’s still a pretty good selection of player props, so most bettors should be able to find the action they’re looking for. Unfortunately, Caesars does not allow you to parlay player props, which puts them a step behind some of their competition.
Same Game Parlays (SGPs)
Same game parlays have become incredibly popular across all of the online sportsbooks. Caesars first made same game parlays available to their bettors ahead of the 2021 NFL season. Initially, Caesars Sportsbook only offered same game parlays for NFL and NBA games, but have since included other sports as well.
These parlays increase payouts and can be a lot of fun. Caesars Sportsbook doesn’t offer as many options for their same game parlays, so it’s not nearly as customizable as the larger online sportsbooks that have already been offering same game parlays for a few years. Hopefully, Caesars continues to make improvements towards the SGP section of their sportsbook, but for now, it’s good enough.
Live In-Game Betting
The advent of online sports gambling has revolutionized the world of live sports betting. Bettors can place bets on games that are happening in real-time while sitting on their couch at home.
Caesars Sportsbook is no exception, users can place live in-game bets. There always seems to be a good selection of live bets to be made. However, the slight lag in the app’s responsiveness can be frustrating when trying to place in-game bets. This happens with other sportsbooks as well, but the Caesars app seems just a tick slower than others.
Comparing Odds With Other Sportsbooks
The odds on Caesars Sportsbook are generally pretty spot on and competitive with the rest of the betting market. Caesars does standout with above average odds in the futures market, where bettors can wager on future champions and awards. They have some of the best odds for MLB, NFL, and NHL futures. If you’re someone who loves to place future bets, Caesars Sportsbook could become your go-to. However, as far as day-to-day betting, there were some values, but nothing exceptional that would give a bettor a major edge.
Payouts and Withdrawals
Every modern sports gambler is familiar with refreshing a page until your winnings arrive in your account. Caesars Sportsbook was pretty quick with payouts after a bet hit. The withdrawal process was very easy. However, Caesars Sportsbook has a minimum withdrawal of $20 no matter which method is used. Other sportsbooks I’ve used will allow a smaller withdrawal depending on the method.
After withdrawal, the money arrived in my PayPal account that same day, but (like other online sportsbooks) Caesars Sportsbook said to allow 3-5 days for the transfer of funds. I actually withdrew from my DraftKings account and my Caesars account at the same time to see which sportsbook was faster. Caesars was slightly slower than DraftKings in transferring money, but only by a couple of hours.
Problems When Traveling
If you travel a lot, Caesars Sportsbook might not be for you.
I traveled out of state and noticed I wasn’t able to place bets, even though I traveled to a state where Caesars Sportsbook was permitted for online gambling. I never had this issue with other sportsbooks. I tried to find a way to work around it, but gave up and was unable to place bets while outside of my home state.
