Fantasy Football Outlook: Back in January, Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest on the field against the Cincinnati Bengals. This was quite possibly the scariest moment that we’ve witnessed as fans in the history of the NFL. Miraculously enough, Hamlin is back and has been participating in voluntary offseason workouts this past week.
Heading into his third season in the NFL, the Bills safety has officially been cleared to play. Buffalo’s general manager Brandon Beane reported on Tuesday, with the following statement: “He’s fully cleared, he’s here and he is of the mindset, he’s in a great head space to come back and make his return,” Beane said.
For fantasy football purposes, the only real implications come for your redraft leagues that use DSTs. Buffalo has been one of the top-five defenses in just about any scoring format you use, and Hamlin is a key part of this unit. More than anything, we’re just happy to see Hamlin healthy.
