DFS Stacks: Week 17 Winners
DFS stacks are necessary when building a slate-winning DFS lineup. Every NFL DFS main slate for the remainder of the season is going to be absolutely loaded with strong plays across the salary spectrum. If you are building lineups for tournaments, GPPs, or large contests, it is absolutely imperative that you practice the art of stacking. Whether it’s a game stack or pure team stack, having multiple pieces of the most fantasy-friendly games on the slate is the way to separate you from the pack and push your roster to the top. Here are my favorite stacks to target this week in DFS Stacks: Week 17 Winners.
With that in mind, here are some of the top stacks for the Week 17 main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. I will also throw in a contrarian option for each stack in case these plays prove to be too chalky. So fire up the Soulja Boy, because we’re about to dive into some stacks on stacks on stacks.
Chiefs-Bengals Stacks
Joe Burrow + Tee Higgins/Ja’Marr Chase + Tyreek Hill
The Bengals were the stack you needed in Week 16 to take down a tournament and they look like they are a part of the most popular and necessary game stack yet again. This matchup is one of the highest on this huge slate with a 51-point implied total and a tight four-point spread. With both teams looking to secure various spots in the playoff hunt, this projects to be a back-and-forth shootout that could provide a DFS bonanza.
On the year, the Chiefs allow the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, which makes sense since they are frequently ahead late in games, forcing their opponents to throw into a ton of garbage time. Whether or not we have that this week shouldn’t matter for the Bengals. Cincinnati runs passing plays at the 10th-highest rate over the last three games and has a very narrow target tree. Both Chase and Higgins have a target share of over 22% this season and they combined for 23 targets last week. If you aren’t double stacking the Bengals, it will be imperative to get some exposure to both.
Hill is a fixture in these stacks assuming he is recovered from the COVID side effects that hampered him last week. According to Sharp Football, the Bengals allow explosive passing plays at a 10% rate, the fifth-highest in the league. This looks like a game where Hill could break a long catch or two.
Contrarian Stack: Tyreek Hill + Darrell Williams + Tyler Boyd
Cowboys-Cardinals Stacks
Kyler Murray + Christian Kirk + CeeDee Lamb
At 52.5 points, this game does feature the highest total on the board, but considering the dominant state of each of these defenses, this could just as easily be a 20-17 game. But assuming Vegas knows what they are talking about, this projects to be a game where these high-octane offenses are the story instead of the powerhouse defenses.
Both the Cowboys and Cardinals are top-10 against quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers, so we have to dig a little deeper to think about where the points will come from. The Cowboys have been very vulnerable to rushing quarterbacks, allowing the 14th-most rushing yards and the eighth-most rushing touchdowns to the position. They also rank 30th in the NFL in allowing 11.4 yards per completion to their opponents in the passing game, so they are prone to giving up large chunk plays. That’s where Kirk and his 11.26 aDOT comes in. With DeAndre Hopkins out, Murray should look to Kirk with some frequency if this turns into a game with 50+ points.
Lamb has seen his target total decrease for four straight weeks, but that’s more of a product of Dallas increasing their rush attempts the last three games. Lamb still leads the team in overall target share, receptions and has 23 more targets than anyone else on the roster. He is who you want if this game starts to blow up.
Contrarian Stack: Ezekiel Elliott + DAL DST + A.J. Green

Rams-Ravens Stacks
Matt Stafford + Cooper Kupp + Mark Andrews
The strength of the Rams defense and the uncertainly around Lamar Jackson’s health is the only thing – I believe – keeping this total under 50 at the time of writing (currently 46.5). But we have seen the past few weeks with Mark Andrews that you could put my Great Aunt Dolores out there and Andrews would catch eight balls for 100 yards and a score. In his last six games, Andrews has 63 targets (the same as DeAndre Hopkins has all season) and over 23 more PPR points than the next best tight end.
No matter who takes the snaps for the Ravens, we can feel confident in Andrews’ ability to generate fantasy production. Tyler Huntley was a Milly-Maker winner a couple of weeks ago, so we should also have no hesitation going in his direction as well.
What more can be said about the Cooper Kupp-Matthew Stafford connection. He is on pace for the most receptions and receiving yards in NFL history, and even with the moonshot salaries ($9,500 on DK and $10,200 on FD), he continues to pay it off every week. I’ll put it this way: Kupp has five games with more than 30 DK points this season and only three games under 20 DK points. The Ravens allow the most passing yards per attempt in the NFL and now allow the third-most passing touchdowns per game in all of football. Feel free to stack up Stafford however you would like.
Contrarian Stack: Tyler Huntley + Mark Andrews + Sony Michel
Other Interesting DFS Stacks
Justin Herbert + Austin Ekeler + LAC DST
Coming off an embarrassing loss where the Texans absolutely ran right over them in Week 16, I’m not quite sure the Broncos are ready for the offensive onslaught that could await them when they visit Los Angeles this week. With Drew Lock back at quarterback for Denver, the Chargers’ defense is absolutely in play as well. With Herbert and Ekeler on your roster, you guarantee you get exposure to every passing yard and about 90% of the rushing yards from Los Angeles. It’s tough to find a bring-back from the Broncos since their offense has been so inefficient and each of their top-four target share leaders the last three weeks have pulled in a 17.7% target share. Throw a dart at Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams if you want considering the Chargers’ problems with run defense.
Jonathan Taylor + Hunter Renfrow/Zay Jones
The Raiders now allow the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season, including the fifth-most rushing touchdowns. You may have heard, but Jonathan Taylor is quite good at the whole rushing touchdown thing this year. The Raiders, on average, allow 115 rushing yards and 1.1 rushing touchdowns per game to their opponents and I think that makes an absolutely perfect projection for Taylor this week. Both Renfrow and Jones have at least a 21% target share for the Raiders the last three weeks, and they will be utilized heavily again if Darren Waller is still out. Despite their reputation as a running team, the Raiders throw the seventh-most passes per game this season and also have the seventh-highest yards per completion.
