DFS Stacks: Week 6 Winners
Every NFL DFS main slate for the remainder of the season is going to be absolutely loaded with strong plays across the salary spectrum. If you are building lineups for tournaments, GPPs, or large contests, it is absolutely imperative that you practice the art of stacking. Whether it’s a game stack or pure team stack, having multiple pieces of the most fantasy-friendly games on the slate is the way to separate you from the pack and push your roster to the top. Here are my favorite stacks to target this week in DFS Stacks: Week 6 Winners.
With that in mind, here are some of the top stacks for the Week 5 main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. I will also throw in a contrarian option for each stack in case these plays prove to be too chalky. So fire up the Soulja Boy, because we’re about to dive into some stacks on stacks on stacks.
Taylor Heinicke + Terry McLaurin + Tyreek Hill
If this were 40 years ago and we had a CBS NFL Game of the Week, this would be the one. First and most appealing, it has a mega-high total of 54.5 when there are at least other games on this short slate with an over/under of 44.5 or lower. Second, these are two defenses who have severely disappointed this year. But that’s music to the ears of DFS managers.
A full Chiefs onslaught stack is likely still too cost-prohibitive on DraftKings. A Mahomes-Hill-Kelce stack will leave you only $4,366 for the rest of your roster. But somehow Heinicke is only $5,800 on DK this week and makes a perfect pairing with #McSoarin ($7,100) and Hill ($8,500). I do prefer Hill for the Chiefs as the Football Team has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this year, including the second-most receptions.
Getting Heinicke and McLaurin for under $13,000 is like highway robbery considering the state of the Chiefs defense. The Chiefs have allowed seven passing touchdowns on just 53 receptions this year. This means they allow a touchdown for every 7.6 passes caught by their opponent, and they are the only team to allow at least seven touchdowns this year on fewer than 65 receptions.
The Chiefs also allow the second-highest yards per completion (13.2) just barely beating out the Detroit Lions (13.7). There are so many ways to stack this game, but it is imperative that you have a piece of it.

Lamar Jackson + Mark Andrews + Mike Williams
This is another game that should have a huge total when the final whistle blows on Sunday. What started out as a 49 over/under has been bet up all the way to 52 in some places, likely after bettors saw the eruption game from Jackson on Monday night.
Jackson and Andrews make the most sense for a couple of reasons. With Jackson, you of course have access to all of the passing stats and likely around 50% of the Raven’s rushing output. In addition, the Chargers allow the second-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers, but the second MOST to opposing tight ends.
We saw just how explosive the Chargers offense can be on Sunday against the Browns, and you almost can’t go wrong with any of the skill players here. But I don’t mind the Mike Williams bring-back on the Chargers side as Williams has morphed into Michael Thomas 2.0 and both Ravens’ cornerbacks rank 89th and 98th out of 115 cornerbacks in Pro Football Focus’ player grades. Raven’s slot corner Marlon Humphrey ranks 17th out of 115, so Keenan Allen has the tougher matchup.
Contrarian Stack: Justin Herbert + Keenan Allen + Marquise Brown
Jonathan Taylor + IND Def + Brandin Cooks
Taylor had his 2021 breakout game last week against the Miami Dolphins as many predicted. As an encore, he gets a date with the ever-giving Houston Texans defense who have allowed the seventh-most rushing yards this season. They also allow their opponents to rush for a first down at the third-highest rate this year (37.6%). Unless the Colts do something wacky like give Marlon Mack 50% of the snaps, this should be a smash spot for Taylor.
And a Taylor big game should strongly correlate with the Colts’ defense. The Texans allow a quarterback sack at the seventh-highest rate in the league and barely throw for over 200 yards per game. Their running backs do nothing, and with the Texans coming in as 10-point underdogs, it should lead to plenty of dropbacks; meaning opportunities for sacks and interceptions.
Cooks doesn’t do it for you and want to just run a skinny Taylor/DST stack? I’m not going to fight you. We’ve seen how bad it can be for Texans wide receivers. If you roster Cooks, you’re hoping for a high target share combined with some of whatever magic Davis Mills found last week against the Patriots.
Contrarian Stack: Carson Wentz + Michael Pittman + IND DST

Other Interesting Stacks
Joe Burrow + Ja’Marr Chase + Amon-Ra St. Brown – I’m also growing on the idea of putting D’Andre Swift in a stack here as the Bengals allow the third-most receptions and the sixth-most receiving yards to running backs this season. But St. Brown has been hogging the usage lately with 24% of the target share and 135 receiving yards the past two weeks. Jared Goff made a public declaration that he wants to get him more involved this week, so watch for that on Sunday. Not much more can be said about the Burrow-Chase connection this year. Chase is making his case for the Dynasty WR1 and Detroit allows the highest yards per completion in the league. Giddy up.
Kirk Cousins + Justin Jefferson + DJ Moore – These two offenses have really started to funnel their passing games to the two alpha receivers over the last two weeks. Both Moore and Jefferson have at least a 23% target share, 150 receiving yards, 170 air yards, and a 29% air yards share in Weeks 4-5. They have also combined for three touchdowns in that span while Adam Thielen, KJ Osborn, and Robby Anderson have zero.
Najee Harris + PIT Def + DK Metcalf – We know that Najee Harris getting almost all of the usage in this inept Steelers offense this season, but now he should be even more involved after the loss of Juju Smith-Schuster. The Seahawks allow the third-most receiving yards to running backs, and Harris leads all running backs in targets (39). With Geno Smith starting and DK Metcalf separating himself from the other receivers this year, this correlated stack should be a popular one.
