A multitude of factors can impact a player’s fantasy football short and long-term value, especially in dynasty formats. Today, I am going to give you my top three young wide receivers to buy now as well as three veterans to acquire if you are a contender. I’ll start with three younger players that you can buy now and then cover three veterans who can help you compete.

Darnell Mooney

According to Sleeper’s ADP for Superflex Dynasty leagues,  Mooney is going as the WR34 while KeepTradeCut values him as the WR31. Mooney is being drafted in the seventh round.

Last season he ended up as the WR22 in fantasy. The Bears lost Allen Robinson and did not replace him with anyone of note. Mooney might not be the No. 1 receiver in most offenses, but he is for the Chicago Bears. Mooney is a target machine and thrived when Robinson missed games in 2021.

Gabriel Davis

According to Sleeper’s ADP, Davis is the WR43 while KTC values him as the WR41. Davis is being drafted in the eighth round.

Down the stretch of the regular season, Davis averaged 13 points per game in the last five games of the year and we all know how dominant he was in the playoffs for the Buffalo Bills. Both Emmanuel Sanders and Cole Beasley are gone, leaving a hole at the Bills’ WR2 spot, which is projected to go to Davis.

Courtland Sutton

According to Sleeper’s ADP, Sutton is the WR29 while KTC values him as the WR36. Sutton is being drafted in the late seventh round.

Sutton now has a quarterback who can get him the ball. Most people are probably on the Jerry Jeudy train for the same reason. In the past seven seasons, Russell Wilson‘s top wideout managed a top 15 fantasy finish. So why not Sutton? He has vastly outproduced Jeudy when healthy.

Now, let’s take a look at some aging veterans to buy.

Keenan Allen

According to Sleeper’s ADP, Allen is the WR25 while KTC values him as the WR34. He is being drafted in the sixth round.

Allen has finished in the top 18 the past five seasons. Who says he won’t do it again this year with Justin Herbert? Allen is still the No. 1 receiver in one of the best offenses in the NFL.

Brandin Cooks

According to Sleeper’s ADP, Cooks is the WR45 while KTC values him as the WR46. He is being drafted in the late eighth round.

Cooks has finished in the top 25 in each of the past eight seasons except 2019. That year he battled injuries. Cooks is the number one receiver in an offense that is expected to be playing catch-up more times than not in 2022. Cooks is set up for another respectable year in fantasy due to opportunity alone.

Adam Thielen

Per  Sleeper’s ADP, Thielen is the WR53 while KTC values him as the WR57. He is being drafted in the eleventh round.

Thielen has been a top 30 fantasy wideout in five of the past six years. The year Thielen did not finish inside the top 30 he was injured. Thielen has been a consistent wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings and is easily their number two in an offense that is respected to throw more under Kevin O’Connell
