Quarterbacks
Daniel Jones – $7,800 – Ownership Proj. 5%
Daniel Jones is not going to put up 400 passing yards in fact he’s only put up 200 passing yards twice this season. I know that’s not what you want to hear when I’m suggesting you play any quarterback but Jones has a solid floor due to having some rushing ability.
This week Jones and the Giants get the Detroit Lions who have allowed 24 FanDuel points in 5 out of 9 weeks and haven’t really been able to stop any position. Jones has a low ownership projection and while you could certainly pair him with Saquan Barkley his other receiving options are bargains with the most expensive being Darius Slayton at $6,300.
Dak Prescott – $7,500 – Ownership Proj. 10%
Last week Dak Prescott put up 265 passing yards and three touchdowns (also two interceptions) for 21.2 FanDuel points versus the Green Bay Packers who are ranked 8th in passing defense DVOA. This week he faces the Minnesota Vikings who are ranked 15th in passing defense DVOA so I don’t see why he can’t put up similar or slightly better numbers for us.
Running Backs
Nick Chubb – $8,400 – Ownership Proj. 7%
I struggled here between Nick Chubb and Dalvin Cook but went with Chubb in the end. I know he faces the Bills this week but they are allowing 4.5 YPC on the season. I also think Chubb will need to be used often to minimize the impact of Josh Allen on this game. Chubb is not usually involved in the passing game but we’ve seen he can bust through for a touchdown from anywhere on the field. My hope was that at half the ownership of Cook we can get what we need from Chubb and gain some leverage.
Cordarrelle Patterson – $6,700 – Ownership Proj. 8%
I’m not sure that Arthur Smith even knows how to use a light switch at this point. He has Kyle Pitts, Drake London, and Cordarrelle Patterson, and last week they had a whopping 13 touches in a game they were trailing the entire game and wound up losing by 10 points. This is definitely not a play for the faint of heart but I think against a Chicago Bears defense that’s allowing 4.7 YPC, 142 yards per game, and 17 rushing touchdowns on the season Patterson can be the high reward that comes with this high-risk play.
Brian Robinson – $6,600 – Ownership Proj. 5%
If you have a running back that is playing against the Houston Texans, play him! The Texans have allowed a ridiculous amount of fantasy points to opposing running backs this year and there is no reason to believe that will stop now. This week, that running back is going to be the rookie, Brian Robinson.
In 6 of 9 games that the Texans have played the running back has scored over 20 fantasy points and in 4 of them, the running back has scored over 29 fantasy points. While there is a timeshare in the Commanders’ backfield Gibson has been getting the bulk of the carries and Washington is favored.
Wide Receivers
Amon-Ra St. Brown – $7,800 – Ownership Proj. 15%
Amon-Ra is averaging 10 targets a game over the last three weeks and has once again solidified his role in the Lions’ offense. Way back in weeks one and two St. Brown started the year with games of 8-64-1 and 9-116-2. I’m hoping that he’s working his way back to numbers more like those so that we get the fantasy points needed.
Courtland Sutton – $7,000 – Ownership Proj. 8%
Anytime I put up a Broncos receiver it scares me, I mean let’s face it it’s not like Sutton has an all-world quarterback throwing to him. It looks like Jerry Jeudy will be out and the last time these two teams played both Jeudy and Sutton scored over 16 fantasy points. The Broncos are projected to score 22 points so I feel the possibility of the added targets and a touchdown will serve Sutton and us well.
Darius Slayton – $6,300 – Ownership Proj. 4%
I touched upon Slayton earlier in the Daniel Jones write-up and mentioned he was a bargain. Slayton seems to have a decent rapport with Jones which hopefully translates into 18+ fantasy points against the Lions. As said with Sutton this one is a little scary but this one also offers some leverage as most will use Barkley if using a Giants player.
Tight Ends
Foster Moreau – $5,600
The Raiders lost Renfroe last week which opened up some targets for others. I don’t see either of my tight ends putting up 30 fantasy points this week hell I don’t see 20 points but I think Moreau is in a good spot as Denver is 3rd in passing defense DVOA but ranks 20th in fantasy points allowed to tight ends on the season thus far. Las Vegas is projected to trail so the passing game should be alive all game.
Greg Dulcich – $5,500
I had Dulcich here last week but unfortunately, he only ended up with one catch for 11 yards. My hope is that the absence of Jerry Jeudy will allow Dulcich to get back into the endzone and put up a line something like 6/70/1 for us. I know the tight ends this week don’t exactly instill confidence but the position has been atrocious so I don’t see the need to spend money here that we can use elsewhere for more points.
GPP DSTs
New Orleans Saints – $4,100
I used the Saints last week and they gave us 7 points but like I’ve mentioned before defense is a complete crap shoot. Sticking with them against the anemic Rams offense this week in hopes of at least a few more points.
GPP Stacks
Dallas Cowboys @ Minnesota Vikings
I like Dak Prescott as one of my quarterbacks this week and if you are looking to stack him I’d go with Ceedee Lamb and/or Michael Gallup. If you are using a run back you could go with either Justin Jefferson or Adam Thielen. Here are two combinations that you could use: Prescott/Lamb/Thielen or Prescott/Gallup/Jefferson.
Chicago Bears @ Atlanta Falcons
I wouldn’t expect Justin Fields to score 40 fantasy points every week but he may get close this week too. Fields can be difficult to pair with a receiver since he’s only passed for over 200 yards only once this year, Week 5 for 208 yards. I do think that since he plays the Falcons this week he has a chance to do it again. If so I feel Darnell Mooney will be the primary beneficiary. Mooney has caught all but one of his targets over the past three weeks. If you want a run back feel free to put Cordarrell Patterson in. This stack is definitely not for the faint of heart though.
