Quarterbacks
Aaron Rodgers – $7,100
Rodgers and the Packers face off against the Vikings this week. Minnesota just allowed Daniel Jones to pass for 334 yards against them. Earlier this year, Rodgers played Minnesota and he was not on the same page with his receivers and only passed for 195 yards. Since then, rookie Christian Watson has stepped up and become the favorite target for Rodgers. If Watson is unable to play I may replace Rodgers so keep an eye on my Twitter for a replacement option.
Mac Jones – $6,400
It looks as if Rhamondre Stevenson has returned to earth and if that is the case Jones will need to use his arm to beat division rival Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins sport the 5th worst passing defense in the league which will only help Jones. Both New England running backs are banged up so keep an eye on the injury reports as they have received 12 of 40 red zone targets from Jones on the year.
Running Backs
Brian Robinson – $6,900
Fellow Washington running back Antonio Gibson has missed multiple practices this week and is trending in the wrong direction to play. Robinson has shown he can carry the load and facing the Cleveland Browns should only solidify that. If Gibson is ruled out I’m locking Robinson in this week.
Miles Sanders – $6,800
Last week Sanders put up a whopping 71 total yards against the Cowboys. The week before that he put up only 42 rushing yards against the Bears who have allowed over 110 yards rushing in 12 of 16 games thus far. I know that isn’t the case you were hoping for but those two games will probably lower the ownership of Sanders in a game that the Eagles will want to win to keep the first-round bye. The Eagles could have Jalen Hurts back but I doubt they’ll want him running around increasing his injury risk.
Tyler Allgeier – $6,700
Allgeier looks to have taken over the lead-back roll in Atlanta over veteran Cordarrelle Patterson. Over the last two weeks, Allgeier has had 40 touches for 253 total yards and a touchdown. The Cardinals are allowing an average of 114 rushing yards and a touchdown per game on the season which bodes well for Allgeier this week.
Wide Receivers
Jaylen Waddle – $7,700
It’s almost certain that the Dolphins will be without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa which means Teddy Bridgewater will step in. When Bridgewater played last against the Vikings there wasn’t much drop-off at all as both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle eclipsed the 100-yard mark. I doubt Hill repeats his 177-yard performance, instead, I think Waddle takes the lead this week.
Jerry Jeudy – $7,000
I’m not expecting Jeudy to have a repeat performance against the Chiefs this week but I think he can hit his GPP target score range for us. The Broncos will be trailing and need to pass early and often. I’m looking for a line around 6-110-1 this week from Jeudy.
Allen Lazard – $6,200
It’s looking like rookie receiver Christian Watson is going to be ruled out. I prefer he plays but either way I’m on Lazard with the putrid pass defense of the Vikings. The Packers need to with their last two games for a shot to make the playoffs and are 3-point favorites in this game.
Tight Ends
Cole Kmet – $5,300
The Bears play the Lions this week and as mentioned above, Detroit struggles at defending the pass. I’m not too fond of the Chicago receivers so I’m going to play it safe here and stack Fields with Kmet. As you can tell from my tight ends I prefer to spend down this week and use the salary elsewhere. I’m looking for Kmet to have a line around 5-60-1 this week.
Tyler Conklin – $4,900
This week lines up for Conklin to get some usage. First, he gets Mike White back at quarterback. Second, he plays the Seahawks who are allowing the third most fantasy points to tight ends on the season. Finally, the Jets have to win to keep their playoff hopes alive so I think they’ll be putting forth a little extra effort this week.
Defense/Special Teams
Philadelphia Eagles – $4,400
The Eagles have been a solid defense all season. They’ve been especially tough against the pass and this week they play at home against the Saints who could be without Alvin Kamara. Even with Kamara, the Saints have been scoring on only 33% of their offensive drives which puts them in the lower third of the league on the season.
GPP Stacks
Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions
This game has the highest projected score on the slate and shouldn’t disappoint. While the Lions have improved a bit against the run they are still atrocious against the passing game. Mix in Fields’ ability to run the ball and we have our ingredients for a nice GPP stack. I’m stacking Fields with his tight end, Kmet. If you want a run-back player I would go with DJ Chark. There is talk that the Lions want to get rookie Jameson Williams more involved but that would be a pure punt play.
Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers
The Vikings’ pass defense is just too bad to not pick on it. I’m going with Rodgers stacked with Lazard and you could run it back with either Dalvin Cook or Justin Jefferson. This is the second-highest projected game total so I’m sure there will be higher ownership, be sure to differentiate at other positions.
As always, be sure to watch the injury reports leading up to each kickoff and follow me on Twitter @BigEZDFS for possible changes, added picks, and additional DFS content.
