Looking for must start wide receivers ahead of Week 15 of your fantasy football season? We’ve identified four must start wide receivers who are primed for big performances. Whether it’s a favorable matchup or an opportunity for targets, these must start wide receivers will give your roster the edge it needs to dominate your league. Don’t miss out on these key players for a fantasy football Week 15 victory.

Must Start Wide Receivers in Fantasy Football Week 15

Each week there are wide receivers that emerge as difference makers for your fantasy football team. Choosing the correct players at this volatile position on a weekly basis is a necessary skill on the path to a fantasy football championship. These wide receivers highlighted below have a combination of positive matchups and game scripts, opportunities for targets, and the skill to help you win your Week 15 matchup. Continue reading to check out my four must-start wide receivers for the week.

Ladd McConkey, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

Rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey was on a tear prior to missing last week’s game with an injury.  The Los Angeles Chargers pass catcher had been a top 20 WR in PPR scoring for three straight weeks and averaged over 100 yards per game during that stretch.  McConkey leads the team with a 23.6% target share and has quickly become the top option for quarterback Justin Herbert.

This week the Chargers take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a team that ranks bottom 12 against the wide receiver position on the season.  The Buccaneers will also be missing star safety Antoine Winfield Jr. from a passing defense that already allows the third most yards per game in the league.

The rookie receiver out of Georgia is seeing elite volume and with a week off to recover from injury should flourish in this advantageous matchup.  McConkey ranks as a solid WR2 for me in Week 15 and is a must-start wide receiver as the fantasy playoffs kick off.

D.J. Moore, WR, Chicago Bears

Coming off a down performance in Week 14, D.J. Moore and the Chicago Bears offense look to bounce back this week.  The veteran wide receiver has seen seven or more targets in five of his past six games, while finishing as a top 12 WR in fantasy in two of his past three games.  Since the Bears transitioned to Thomas Brown as offensive coordinator, Moore ranks sixth among all wide receivers in fantasy points scored.

The Bears take on the Minnesota Vikings this week, a game they’re currently 6.5 point underdogs according to DraftKings.  Look for plenty of passing volume for quarterback Caleb Williams and opportunities for Moore in this matchup.  In addition, the Vikings have allowed the most fantasy points this season to wide receivers and the third most over the past four weeks.

Moore has been excellent since the change of playcaller in Chicago.  I expect the veteran to bounce back and dominate against the Vikings for the second time in four weeks; Moore was the WR4 overall against the Vikings in Week 12.  The veteran is a must start in Week 15 and ranks within my top 24 wide receivers on the week.

Jaylen Waddle, WR, Miami Dolphins

Jaylen Waddle finished as a top 12 WR for the second time in his past three games during the Miami Dolphins win last week.  The Dolphins passing offense is hot right now with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa going over 300 yards with multiple touchdowns in three straight games.  Waddle has become a bigger part of the offense of late, leading the team in first read targets (according to FantasyPoints) in Week 14 and averaging over 20 PPR fantasy points per game in his last three games.

Waddle and the Dolphins look to keep their success going this week against the Houston Texans.  The Texans are a bottom 10 defense on the year against wide receivers and are bottom three when accounting for matchups according to our free fantasy football tool, the D-PAC Score.  This matchup looks great when looking at recent trends as well, with the Texans being the fourth-worst against wide receivers over the past four weeks.

Fire up Waddle with confidence as the Dolphins have been designing more work for him within their scheme and the dynamic playmaker is rewarding them.  I have the young wide receiver as a low-end WR2/high-end WR3 on the week and he’s a must-start in Week 15 with the Dolphins offense red hot and a top-tier matchup upcoming.

Amari Cooper, WR, Buffalo Bills

After a mid-season trade from the Cleveland Browns to the Buffalo Bills, Amari Cooper had failed to make a big impact in fantasy football.  Now healed from injury, the University of Alabama product had his busiest day as a member of the Bills, finishing with the most receptions (6), targets (14), and receiving yards (95) of his tenure with the team.  With Cooper building chemistry with quarterback Josh Allen, he looks to be set up to be a huge part of the offense for the stretch run.

The Bills take on the Detroit Lions this week in a matchup with the highest over/under of Week 15, per DraftKings.  The Lions’ defense has been bottom five against the wide receiver position and is dealing with several injuries across all three levels.

If Cooper can continue to command anything near the 37.8% target share he saw last week, he’s going to have elite upside in this matchup.  With a current consensus ranking outside of the top 40 WRs on FantasyPros, I like Cooper to crush expectations as a solid WR3 this week.  The veteran is a must start wide receiver in Week 15 and carries elite upside in this projected shootout.
