Fantasy Football Sleepers Week 14 brings another round of lineup challenges and opportunities to find under-the-radar gems. One of the most frustrating parts of fantasy football is setting the right lineup and watching a player you almost started put up big points on your bench. Today, we’ll take a look at 5 fantasy football sleepers and sneaky starts for Week 14.
Starting your superstar players every week, regardless of the matchup, is an easy call. However, what about the rest of your roster? Let’s get right into the picks.
Fantasy Football Sleepers Week 14
Arguably, the most frustrating part of fantasy football is setting your lineup each week. Everyone hates seeing a player you almost started go off on your bench, leading to your opponent taunting you all weekend.
Starting your superstar players every week, regardless of the matchup, is an easy call. However, what about the rest of your roster?
Let’s look at five undervalued fantasy football start options for Week 14.
Will Levis (QB – TEN) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
While Levis is far from the best fantasy football quarterback, he is my favorite streaming option in Week 14. The second-year pro struggled to start the season, averaging one passing touchdown and 7.7 fantasy points per game over the first six weeks. However, Levis has played well since returning from a shoulder injury. He was the QB15 from Week 10 through Week 13, averaging 240 passing yards, 1.8 touchdowns, and 16.8 fantasy points per game.
Furthermore, Levis has scored 15.6 or more fantasy points in all but one of those contests, including back-to-back weeks with at least 16.1 against two solid defenses. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have surrendered 22.2 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, the most in the NFL, giving up 27.9% more than the league average. Jacksonville has allowed opposing quarterbacks to have three or more passing touchdowns in a quarter of their matchups this season.
Isaac Guerendo (RB – SF) vs. Chicago Bears
Unfortunately, the 49ers will be on the third starting running back this year in Week 14. Last week, Christian McCaffrey suffered a sprained PCL, while Jordan Mason suffered a high-ankle sprain. Both running backs are expected to miss the remainder of the regular season, making Guerendo the starter. The rookie has played well in limited action, totaling 42 rushing attempts for 246 yards, two touchdowns, and 39 half-point PPR fantasy points this year.
More importantly, Guerendo has averaged 5.9 yards per rushing attempt and 0.83 fantasy points per touch. He has averaged 13.8 fantasy points per game in the two contests with more than five rushing attempts this season. Meanwhile, the Bears have surrendered 21.3 fantasy points per game to running backs, the 11th-most in the NFL. They have given up 139 rushing yards per game to running backs since their Week 7 bye, including 125 or more in back-to-back contests.
Amari Cooper (WR – BUF) vs. Los Angeles Rams
Cooper struggled during his time with the Cleveland Browns, averaging only 8.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game despite seeing 8.8 targets per contest in the six matchups with the team. However, the veteran had a solid Bills debut despite barely knowing the playbook. He had four receptions on five targets for 66 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 14.6 fantasy points in Week 7 despite playing only 19 snaps. Unfortunately, Cooper has struggled since that performance.
The veteran had a wrist injury a few weeks ago, forcing him to miss two games. More importantly, Cooper has averaged only 3.3 fantasy points per game since his Buffalo debut. However, the veteran is prime for a bounce-back performance against a Rams defense that has surrendered 27.8 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. Furthermore, they have given up at least one receiving touchdown to wide receivers in 83.3% of their outings.
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (WR – TEN) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you have heard about Westbrook-Ikhine’s touchdown streak. The veteran had no fantasy value before the team’s bye. However, he has been outstanding since, scoring a touchdown in nearly every game. Westbrook-Ikhine has been the WR11 over the past eight weeks, averaging a touchdown and 11.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, scoring at least once in all but one contest. More importantly, he has been a borderline must-start flex option.
Last week, the veteran finished as the WR8, scoring 19.6 fantasy points against the Washington Commanders. Westbrook-Ikhine has scored at least 11.8 fantasy points in three consecutive games. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have struggled to slow down opposing passing attacks. They’ve surrendered 31.8 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, the third-most in the NFL. Furthermore, Jacksonville has given up two or more receiving touchdowns to wide receivers in a third of their matchups.
Pat Freiermuth (TE – PIT) vs. Cleveland Browns
Many called Freiermuth a late-round sleeper tight end heading into the season. While he hasn’t been outstanding, the veteran is the TE15 for the year, averaging 7.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Freiermuth has played well with Russell Wilson under center, averaging 38 receiving yards and 7.4 fantasy points per game in his six starts. More importantly, he is coming off his best performance of the year in the Week 13 victory.
Freiermuth had six receptions on seven targets for 68 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 15.8 fantasy points, setting season highs in every category. Meanwhile, the Browns have surrendered 10.9 fantasy points per game to tight ends, the 10th-most in the NFL. They have given up 20 or more fantasy points to tight ends in two of their past five matchups, allowing over 90 receiving yards and a touchdown in both games.
