Elijah Arroyo Fantasy Football Outlook 2025: Rookie Sleeper?

0

Elijah Arroyo, the tight end out of the University of Miami, was the fifth tight end drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft. He was behind the likes of Colston Loveland and Tyler Warren. Arroyo was the third tight end drafted in the second round, taken by the Seattle Seahawks with the 5oth pick. Today, we’ll break down the Elijah Arroyo fantasy football outlook for 2025 and beyond.

Elijah Arroyo Fantasy Football Outlook 2025

Will Arroyo be able to play a meaningful role in the Seahawks’ offense in 2025? Or will his best days as a fantasy football contributor be in 2026 and beyond? Continue reading as we break down the fantasy football impact of Elijah Arroyo with the Seattle Seahawks.

Elijah Arroyo Strengths

Arroyo broke out in his final year in college with the Miami Hurricanes. After two injury-plagued seasons, he erupted as a senior for 35 receptions, 590 yards, and 7 touchdowns in 13 games. Arroyo’s biggest strengths are his ability to create separation and his route running.

Furthermore, Arroyo projects to be a “move” tight end in the NFL. In short, this means he should be more of a receiving tight end than a blocking one. At 6’5 and 250 pounds, Arroyo presents a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses with his speed, size, and athleticism.

Elijah Arroyo Weaknesses

Arroyo’s biggest challenge that he needs to overcome is his lack of experience and playing time at the collegiate level. Between 2002-2023 with the Hurricanes, he only played in 8 games thanks to a torn ACL in his knee. In total, in his four seasons with Miami, he amassed 46 catches for 753 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Another challenge for Arroyo is the competition he will face for targets in the Seahawks’ offense. This is largely due to the newly signed free agent quarterback, Sam Darnold. Assuming Arroyo can overcome past injuries and play significant snaps, he would still have to compete with fellow tight end Noah Fant. Additionally, wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Jaxon Smith-Njigba for targets in 2025.

Elijah Arroyo Fantasy Football Outlook in 2025

With Noah Fant still on the roster, I don’t project Arroyo to have a big fantasy impact in 2025. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Arroyo have a few splash plays or big games, but his fantasy football future won’t be fully unlocked until 2026 and beyond. His ADP in redraft leagues is as a high-end TE3. In most leagues (depending on the roster size), Arroyo will not be rostered. As a result, he will likely be available throughout the season on the waiver wire or someone to spend FAAB on.

Elijah Arroyo Dynasty Outlook

Overall, Arroyo has untapped potential due to his lack of experience at the college level. Unfortunately, it may take a few years for Seattle to unlock said potential. Fant is set to be a free agent after this season, where it could then be wheels up for Arroyo moving forward.

Arroyo is currently a late 2nd or early 3rd round selection in rookie drafts and is a lower-end TE2 in dynasty rankings. Ultimately, he is a nice stash for 2026 and beyond. According to our 1QB dynasty rookie ADP, he might be a nice value.
