Jack Bech Fantasy Football Outlook 2025: Breakout Rookie WR
After selecting running back Ashton Jeanty with the 6th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders were not done adding more offensive pieces for new head coach Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly. Jack Bech was selected by the team in the late 2nd round (58th overall) and was the 8th wide receiver selected in the draft. Jack Bech Strengths
Bech is a smooth wide receiver for his size at 6’2 and 215 pounds. He was TCU’s go-to receiver last year and ended up with 62 receptions, 1,034 receiving yards, along with 9 touchdowns. Furthermore, he also earned MVP honors at the Senior Bowl this past season.
Moreover, Bech is a versatile WR who can play outside or line up in the slot and is an excellent blocker. He is a physical receiver who is extremely strong in contested catches and is difficult to bring down after the catch. Additionally, he has arguably the best hands and ball skills among the 2025 rookies. Bech is a selfless player, and his “Team first mentality approach” will easily win over his coaches and teammates.
Jack Bech Weaknesses
Bech did not break out until his senior year. He had limited playing time in his two years with LSU behind stalwarts Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas Jr., and even Kayshon Boutte. Later on, he transferred to TCU, where injuries limited him to 12 catches for 146 receiving yards. Ultimately, he has had only one productive year in college. That was last year for the TCU Horned Frogs.
Furthermore, Bech is considered to be more of a smooth receiver than an explosive one. His speed and acceleration compared to other receivers are below average and will not scare any NFL secondary.
Jack Bech Fantasy Football Outlook in 2025
Bech has the opportunity and versatility with the Raiders to play in two wide receiver sets opposite Jakobi Meyers, as his only competition is sprinter Tre Tucker. However, Bech does have to contend with Jeanty, rookie sensation Brock Bowers and Meyers for targets. The Raiders may implement a run-heavy approach with their new prized rookie Ashton Jeanty, which will limit the passing volume in the offense and targets for Bech.
Unless Meyers suffers an injury, Bech at best will be the third or fourth option for the Raiders catching balls from new quarterback Geno Smith. He is currently being ranked as a WR5/6 and being drafted in Rounds 13/14 in redraft.
Jack Bech Dynasty Outlook
Overall, Bech has high-end Day 2 draft capital working for him. Moving forward, he projects to be a possession-style receiver in the NFL. Notably, he has drawn comparisons to Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. In dynasty rookie drafts, he is going anywhere from the middle of Round 2 to the end of it, according to our latest dynasty rookie ADP.
Ultimately, the opportunity is there for Bech to be a factor for the Raiders. The question is, will it be this year or in the future? Personally, I will actively be looking to draft Bech in the middle of the second round in my own dynasty rookie drafts this year. Don’t be surprised if Bech offers immediate fantasy football upside in 2025 and beyond.
