Jaxson Dart Fantasy Football Outlook 2025: Rookie QB Sleeper

Leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, many had Jaxson Dart skyrocketing up draft boards and potentially being a first-round pick. After selecting Abdul Carter with the 3rd overall pick, the Giants traded back into the first round. They acquired the 25th pick overall from the Houston Texans and, as a result, were able to select the Ole Miss quarterback. Ultimately, Dart was the second quarterback drafted this year behind Cam Ward. Continue reading as we break down the Jaxson Dart fantasy football outlook for 2025 and beyond.

Jaxson Dart Fantasy Football Outlook 2025

Will Jaxson Dart receive any meaningful playing time this upcoming season? Or is he simply a dynasty stash for 2026 and beyond? Continue reading as we break down the fantasy football impact of Dart with the New York Giants.

Jaxson Dart Strengths

Dart possesses above-average arm strength and good mobility for a quarterback. Even though he is 6’2 and roughly 22o pounds, he was an excellent runner in college. Notably, from 2022 to 2024, Dart averaged 499 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns.

Overall, Dart has a nice combination of arm talent and rushing upside. He can throw with velocity but also finesse a pass when needed to his targets. When he eventually becomes the starter for the Giants, he will be throwing to one of the most talented young wide receivers in the league, Malik Nabers.

Jaxson Dart Weaknesses

At Ole Miss Dart struggled with processing his second option/read and does not anticipate throwing lanes well. At this stage of his career he is more of a “see it, throw it” type of passer.

Furthermore, Dart’s biggest challenge this season from a fantasy perspective is playing time behind Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. Ultimately, Dart has a lot of untapped raw talent at the quarterback position. However, he could use a year or two to sit on the bench and learn.

Jaxson Dart Fantasy Football Outlook in 2025

If you are going to draft Dart in your rookie drafts, there is absolutely no way you can count on any meaningful production from him for the upcoming 2025 season. In the offseason, the Giants signed Wilson to a one-year contract, along with Winston to a two-year deal. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t get overly excited about Dart this season. Unless the two starting free agent signings experience major injuries, Dart may as well get comfortable holding a clipboard for this season and learn under head coach Brian Daboll.

Jaxson Dart Dynasty Outlook

With first-round draft capital, Dart is in play to be drafted in the first round in superflex rookie drafts. As expected, he’s a high pick in your latest Superflex dynasty rookie ADP. Ultimately, he is a draft and stash for the 2025 season and beyond.

However, with Wilson only signed to a one-year deal, there is the possibility of Dart becoming the starting quarterback for the Giants in the 2026 season. When Dart eventually becomes the starter, he will have some intriguing offensive assets to throw and play with – Nabers, Wan’Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton, Theo Johnson, and rookie Cam Skattebo. Overall, this makes the Jaxson Dart fantasy football outlook for 2025 uncertain.
