Week 12 Fantasy Football QB Rankings: Start of the Week

Justin Herbert vs. Baltimore Ravens

Over the first six games of the season, Herbert averaged just under 12 fantasy points per game. In his last four games, Herbert has averaged just under 22 fantasy points per game as the QB6. Additionally, he has averaged 255 passing yards, 1.75 passing touchdowns, 37 rushing yards, and 0.25 rushing touchdowns over that same span.

Herbert and the Chargers, while still primarily a rushing offense, have begun to air it out more. That comes just in time for a contest with the Baltimore Ravens.

Using our free tool, the D-PAC Score, or Defensive Points Allowed Consistency fantasy football tool, we can see that this matchup is favorable for Herbert. In short, the higher the D-PAC Score, the more often those teams give up fantasy points to the opposing position. More importantly, it can help you find “easy” or “tough” matchups to target or avoid. According to our D-PAC consistency too, the Ravens have the seventh-highest QB D-PAC Score.

Recently, the Ravens did shut down Russell Wilson and the Pittsburgh Steelers’ passing attack in Week 11. However, they still remain dead last in passing defense. Opponents are averaging almost 300 passing yards per game against the Ravens. Additionally, they have given up the most passing touchdowns for the year at 22.

The Chargers may try to run the ball Monday night, but the Ravens are ranked number one in the league in rushing defense. As a result, Herbert and the offense may have no choice but to pass the pall to compete with the Ravens. Multiple scores along with 250+ passing yards are a distinct possibility for Herbert this week. This makes him our must-start quarterback for our Week 12 fantasy football QB rankings.
