Week 15 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings: Start of the Week
QB Brock Purdy – San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams
There are a lot of elite options at quarterback this week. If you happen to not have one of the top five in my Tier 1 on your roster, don’t fret. Thankfully, there are a few other intriguing options for Week 15 and the first round of the fantasy football playoffs.
Last week at home versus a top-12 passing defense in the Chicago Bears, Brock Purdy put up a quiet 22.1 fantasy points and finished as the QB7 for the week.
Kicking off Week 15 on Thursday Night Football, Purdy and the 49ers take on the Los Angeles Rams. The same Rams who just surrendered 342 passing yards and three passing touchdowns to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. I’ll leave out the production that Allen also had on the ground. There’s a good chance Allen single-handedly won you your Week 14 matchup.
Unfortunately, in Week 14 rookie Isaac Guerendo left the game with a sprain to his foot. As a result, he is questionable for this Thursday’s game against the Rams. If Guerendo were to miss time, the 49ers would have to rely on their 5th option this year in running back Patrick Taylor. While it seems like any running back can fit nicely and produce in the 49ers offensive system, I would forecast them and Purdy relying on the pass a bit more this week.
Furthermore, this game also has the highest projected over/under for the week at 48.5 as it projects to be a shootout. Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised to see both teams at least score into the 30s. 250 passing yards and two touchdowns seem to be the floor for Purdy this week, with a much higher ceiling. Fire up Purdy this week as my “Start of the week” and my QB12 for my Week 15 fantasy football quarterback rankings.
