Welcome back to another week of fantasy football quarterback rankings. Week 17 is here and that means it’s time for the fantasy football semifinals. If you made it this far, congratulations. If not, now is a great time to start getting to know the 2025 rookies in this 2025 NFL mock draft.
The bye weeks are over and that means everyone has their full roster to work with. Today, I’ll be breaking down my fantasy football quarterback rankings for the semifinals in Week 16. Additionally, I’ve sorted them into tiers and given you my “Start of the week”.
I want to thank you if you have been reading this all season long. This is my first time doing weekly rankings and I had a blast writing it and learned a lot in the process.
If you are reading this, then most likely you advanced to your league’s championship game. All the hard work drafting, in season, and in the fantasy playoffs has paid off. Congratulations! If you didn’t move on, then thank you for reading this regardless and hey, there is always next year.
Needless to say every start and sit decision this week is extremely important. One mistake and the championship will not be yours. Nobody in your league will remember who finished as the runner-up. Make the correct decisions and you will live on in infamy among your league mates and will have bragging rights for eternity. Week 17 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings: Start of the Week
Kyler Murray at Los Angeles Rams
This season has truly been a Jekyll and Hyde one for the Arizona Cardinals signal caller. Unfortunately, he has scored under 16 fantasy points seven times. However, he has also put up more than 20 points six times.
Week 2 seems like a long time ago. However, that is when the Cardinals last faced off against the Rams. Murray posted his second-best fantasy performance of the season that day with 28.5 fantasy points.
Don’t let the Week 15 game on Thursday night against the 49ers and the Rams fool you. The 49ers managed to only score six points at home against the Rams. The weather for most of the game was slick and rainy. More importantly, it wasn’t ideal for the passing game for either team. Try to remember instead the week before, where the Rams at home allowed the Buffalo Bills to score 42 points on them. Josh Allen scored 51.9 fantasy points that game. Finally, the Rams still remain a bottom-third passing defense.
I have been professing my love of the Cardinals playoff schedule all season long and there is no reason to stop now. Personally, in two of my “more important leagues,” I have Murray as my starting quarterback. As the saying goes, I am putting my money where my mouth is.
Let’s hope that Murray brings us the money, and gives us that championship that we so desire. Murray is my QB7 for this week’s fantasy football quarterback rankings. Good luck this week.
