Quinshon Judkins Fantasy Outlook 2025: Breakout RB Watch

0

It wasn’t a surprise to see Quinshon Judkins drafted in the 2nd round of the 2025 NFL Draft. This was where many expected him to go, but it was a bit shocking to see him drafted ahead of Ohio State teammate TreVeyon Henderson. Many in the fantasy football community had Henderson being drafted ahead of Judkins in the 2nd round. Either way, Judkins was the third running back drafted, 36th overall, by the Cleveland Browns. Continue reading for the fantasy football outlook for 2025 and beyond with Judkins in Cleveland.

Quinshon Judkins Fantasy Football Outlook

Will Judkins have the opportunity in 2025 to demonstrate his 3-down skillset, or will incumbent Jerome Ford, fellow rookie Dylan Sampson, and/or the Browns’ inept offense limit his touches and production? Continue reading as we break down the fantasy football impact of Quinshon Judkins.

Quinshon Judkins Strengths

The former Ohio State back formed a potent one-two punch with Henderson that helped the Buckeyes win a national title last collegiate season. But make no mistake about it, Judkins has the tools and potential to be a three-down back in the NFL. He is an athletic and talented back who has the patience and vision to find his way through the line of scrimmage. At 6’0 and 216 pounds, he is a compact, hard-nosed runner with good contact balance. Additionally, he can be tough to bring down.

Quinshon Judkins Weaknesses

One of the biggest knocks on Judkins is his pass protection. Moving forward, he will have to work on that in order to be a future three-down back for the Browns. However, the largest obstacle for Judkins this season and potentially moving forward is the Browns’ offense and lack of a true, legitimate starting quarterback.

Last season, the Browns finished near the bottom in many offensive and rushing categories. The Browns enter the 2025 season with, for now, four potential starting quarterbacks in Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco, third-round pick Dillon Gabriel out of Oregon, and fifth-round pick and Mel Kiper Jr. crush, Shedeur Sanders out of Colorado. Judkins will be operating in a lackluster offensive environment, which is not exactly ideal for any RB, let alone a rookie.

Quinshon Judkins Fantasy Football Outlook in 2025

The Browns didn’t use a high draft pick (36th overall) to have him watch and learn on the bench or to rely on their seemingly inept passing attack. Look for Judkins to receive the bulk of the early down work and to cede some third-touch touches to a committee that includes incumbent Jerome Ford and 4th-round pick Dylan Sampson out of the University of Tennessee.

Knowing the difficulty the Browns will have moving the ball through the air, head coach Kevin Stefanski will look to lean on Judkins in 2025.
There should be enough volume to project Judkins as a low-end RB2 with the odd RB1 performance depending on the Browns’ weekly offensive performance.

Quinshon Judkins Dynasty Outlook

Ironically, many compare Judkins to former Browns back Nick Chubb. During Chubb’s four full years as a starter, he averaged 17 touches and also finished as a top 12 RB in PPG during that same span, which would seem like the ceiling for Judkins moving forward. For dynasty fantasy football purposes, Judkins should be treated as a mid-low range RB2 with plenty of upside.
