Fantasy Football Rankings and Tiers | Running Backs – Week 5
Week 4 fantasy football rankings reminded us why Derrick Henry is referred to as “King Henry;” Kenneth Walker thanked Zach Charbonnet for keeping his seat warm; D’Andre Swift had his yearly blow-up week and will keep Roschon Johnson at bay for a little while; Chuba Hubbard has now had back to back RB1 weeks, which will make things interesting once rookie Jonathan Brooks returns from his stint on the IR.
Off to Week 5 and the beginning of the bye week – which means no Saquon Barkley, Tony Pollard, Jahmyr Gibbs, David Montgomery, J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards (ok I am just kidding here; you were never going to start Edwards anyway).
Here you will find my top 24 Fantasy Football RB rankings and tiers for Week 5. Each week, I’ll separate them into tiers along with one “Start of the Week (which was Tony Pollard last week and he finished as the RB14).”

Week 5 Fantasy Football RB Rankings: Start of the Week
Rhamondre Stevenson vs. Miami Dolphins
For the first two weeks of the season, Stevenson was the RB9 compared to the last two weeks where he has been the RB55. There is no coincidence that for the first two weeks he played inferior defenses in the Bengals and the Seahawks, while also playing two of the toughest in the Jets and the Niners for the last two weeks.
This week the Patriots face off against the lowly Dolphins who are in shambles right now without their starting quarterback Tua Tagovaiola. The Dolphins allow on average almost 120 yards rushing per game and have given up 7 rushing touchdowns for the year. This past Monday night, the Tennessee Titans, Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears ran for 122 yards and two rushing touchdowns against the Dolphins on the road.
The Dolphins are sputtering on offense right now, so this game won’t get away from the Patriots. Look for Rhamondre to get at least 20 touches, with 100 yards and one score a real possibility.
