Week 8 Fantasy Football WR Rankings and Tiers – Start of the Week
Darnell Mooney at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Darnell Mooney has been a pleasant surprise for fantasy managers this season despite some inconsistencies. This week the veteran wide receiver takes on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the second time this season, the first of which saw him go for over 100 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Buccaneers defense has struggled against the passing game, allowing passing yards and WR fantasy points at a top ten rate.
While the losses of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans may force the Buccaneers to run the ball more and play at a slower pace, I expect plenty of opportunities for both Mooney and fellow WR Drake London to take advantage of a vulnerable secondary. All in all, Mooney is a solid WR2 option for me in Week 8 and cracks my top 24 WR fantasy football rankings and tiers this week.
