We’re rolling into Week 16 of the fantasy football season and another round of all-important playoff matchups. We’ll take a look at which tight ends can finish as top 12 options in Week 16 to help win your matchup and push for a title. Below, you will find my top 12 fantasy football TE rankings and tiers to get you ready for Week 16 in the NFL. Each week, I’ll separate them into tiers along with my “Start of the Week”.

Week 16 Fantasy Football TE Rankings: Start of the Week
Pat Freiermuth at Baltimore Ravens
Pat Freiermuth has been on a hot streak with touchdowns in three straight games and six or more targets in two of those three. The Pittsburgh Steelers tight end has benefitted from the additional volume with George Pickens out of the lineup over the past two weeks and could see more of the same in Week 16. The veteran leads the team with six receiving touchdowns and has been a force in the red zone with Russell Wilson looking for the big man consistently.
The Steelers take on the Baltimore Ravens in Week 15, who rank bottom ten in the league against the tight end position. The Ravens are even worse when adjusting for competition, ranking second worst in the league per our free fantasy football tool, the D-PAC Score. With the Steelers being underdogs on the road, Freiermuth should see plenty of opportunities against a defense allowing big plays to the position.
The Steelers tight end ranks as a back-end TE1 for me in Week 16. His plus matchup and excellent red zone connection with Wilson make him my start of the week. Get Freiermuth in your lineups this week for the fantasy playoffs unless you have another top-tier option.
