Week 17 Fantasy Football TE Rankings: Start of the Week
Chigoziem Okonkwo at Jacksonville Jaguars
Chigoziem Okonkwo has back-to-back finishes as a top-six TE as he has thrived with Mason Rudolph at QB. The Tennessee Titans tight end has double-digit targets in back-to-back games as the team has trailed and leaned on the pass to stay competitive. The young tight end is coming off his season-high in yardage in Rudolph’s first game since being announced as the starter.
Furthermore, the Titans take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17. Notably, they rank bottom ten in the league against the tight end position. Additionally, the Jaguars are even worse when adjusting for competition. They rank seventh worst in the league per our free fantasy football tool, the D-PAC Score. With the Titans being underdogs on the road, Okonkwo should see plenty of targets against a defense that has struggled against the position.
Ultimately, the tight end out of Maryland ranks as a low-end TE1 for me in Week 17 and is my start of the week. Get Okonkwo into fantasy lineups this week for your championship matchups and watch him due to his connection with Rudolph and elite matchup.
