Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings & Tiers – Week 9

0

We’re back for Week 9 of the 2024 fantasy football season with another round of fantasy football tight end rankings and tiers. This past Sunday was National Tight Ends Day which saw a record for receptions by tight ends on a single day.

Cade Otton put up a monster two-touchdown game with Tampa Bay down several WRs, Kyle Pitts scored two touchdowns of his own (barely), and Travis Kelce had his best performance of the season.  Let’s see if the tight ends repeat last week’s monster performance in Week 9.

Below, you will find my top 12 fantasy football TE rankings and tiers to get you ready for Week 9 in the NFL. Each week, I’ll separate them into tiers along with my “Start of the Week”.

Week 9 Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings: Start of the Week

Dalton Schultz at New York Jets

Dalton Schultz lands outside my top 12 TE rankings but is a great starting option for those without a top choice at the position.  The Houston Texans lost WR Stefon Diggs to a season-ending ACL injury and are already without Nico Collins heading into their Thursday night matchup with the New York Jets.

Schultz is coming off a season-high performance in receptions and yardage. The veteran should remain a big part of the Texans short-handed offense against a Jets defense that’s been middle-of-the-pack against TEs.  Schultz is a player that I’d strongly consider for a high floor and consistent targets if I didn’t have top 12 option and is my start of the week in Week 9.
