Top 4 TE Streaming Options – Fantasy Football Week 14 (2024)
Looking for the best TE streaming options for Week 14 of the 2024 fantasy football season? Week 14 sees Bye-pocalypse part two and with the fantasy playoffs only one week away, finding reliable production at the tight end position is crucial. It could very well determine whether you will make the playoffs or not in your league.
In this article, I’ll highlight my top four tight end streamers who are potentially available on your waiver wire and have favorable matchups or rising roles. Whether you’re navigating a tough matchup or just need a one-week plug-and-play option, these tight ends offer the upside to help you secure a win in Week 14 and possibly for the upcoming fantasy playoffs.
Fantasy Football Week 14: Top 4 Tight End Streaming Options
For Week 14, there are six teams on their bye week. The Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots and the Washington Commanders. That means we’ll be without three top-10 tight ends: Mark Andrews (TE5), Hunter Henry (TE10), and Zach Ertz (TE7).

Will Dissly (TE – LAC) at Kansas City Chiefs
Dissly made this list in Week 12 and promptly put up 6.7 fantasy points. Not horrible, but not good either. In the end, he finished the week as the TE17. Dissly followed up that performance with a fat goose egg (zero points) last week versus the Atlanta Falcons. Typically, this is expected of a streaming tight end as you’re just hoping that he finds the end zone.
The only good thing about Dissly’s past two performances is that he may have been dropped in your league. Additionally, he may still remain on the waiver wire. Notably, he has a 47% roster ownership on Sleeper and 42% on Yahoo.
This week Dissly and the Chargers face off against the Kansas City Chiefs who just gave up 25.2 fantasy points to Brock Bowers – which was the highest-scoring week for a tight end other than the Week 11 outburst from Taysom Hill. Comparing Dissly to Bowers isn’t fair or good fantasy football analysis. However, the Chiefs have given up the most receptions (80) and yards (942) to the tight end position.
Dissly won’t score 25.2 fantasy points, but he won’t put up a zero as well. If you are desperate for a tight end, you could do much worse than Dissly for Week 14.
Jonnu Smith (TE – MIA) vs. New York Jets
How Jonnu Smith is not 100% owned across any platform is astonishing and baffling to me. He has an 82% roster ownership on Sleeper and a 72% ownership on Yahoo.
Smith is currently the TE4 for the season. Impressively, he is the TE1 from Weeks 8-13. Between Weeks 11-13, he averaged just over 20 fantasy points which is almost five points more than the TE1 rookie Brock Bowers.
In Week 11, Smith saw 22.9% of all the team’s targets; 27.5% in Week 12, and 23.9% in Week 13. That is almost a fourth of a team’s total target distribution. Smith clearly has been one of Tua Tagavailoa’s favorite targets the past three weeks and fits into the Dolphin’s new “Dink and dunk and let’s not get Tua hit” approach.
Ultimately, Smith is an upper-level TE1 moving forward. If he is still available in your league, pick him up quickly! Smith is a very solid streaming TE option for Week 14 and someone you can start for the rest of the season.
Luke Schoonmaker (TE – DAL) vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Since Jake Ferguson exited Week 11’s game against the Houston Texans with a concussion, Schoonmaker has been one of Cooper Rush‘s favorite targets. From Weeks 11-13, he is the TE9 averaging just over nine fantasy points per game. He is averaging just under five catches and forty-eight yards along with 0.33 touchdowns during that three-game span.
Week 14 brings on the Cincinnati Bengals who have surrendered the second most touchdowns (8) to the tight end position, to go along with the fifth most yards (783). This game also features the second-highest over/under total for the week at 49.5 which means that this game could very well be a shootout between both teams with lots of targets and touchdowns.
Schoonmaker is widely available, most notably having only a 10% roster ownership on Yahoo and 18% on Sleeper.
(Disclaimer: if Jake Ferguson returns from his concussion injury, then Schoonmaker is obviously not a good start for Week 14).
Juwan Johnson (TE – NO) at New York Giants
Taysom Hill has garnered all the attention lately (and rightfully so) with his performances over the past few weeks at the tight end position. Unfortunately, Week 13 saw Hill suffer a torn ACL, causing him to be out for the rest of the season.
Johnson has quietly averaged just over eight fantasy points over his last two games and those were with Hill in the lineup. With Hill, Chris Olave, and Rashid Shaheed out of the Saints lineup, someone needs to step up to take over some of those vacated targets.
During the fantasy playoffs last season (Weeks 15-17), Johnson was the TE2 averaging 14.2 fantasy points per game with Derek Carr as his quarterback. Could Johnson have a repeat performance of the end of his 2023 season? Not only is Johnson a sneaky pickup and play for Week 14, but also for possibly the remainder of the season.
Johnson is widely available in many leagues as his roster ownership is only 3% on Yahoo and 6% on Sleeper. Overall, he is a deep sleeper for the week. However, I would not hesitate to at least pick him up and stash him on your bench. Johnson is a solid streaming tight end option for Week 14 and beyond.
