Top 3 DST Streaming Options for Fantasy Football in Week 9

There are a few key factors that we’re considering when looking to stream a DST. Notably, you might want to consider home teams who have a low-point total according to online sportsbooks. Continue reading to check out our 3 top DST streaming options for this week.

This week’s top DST streaming options were chosen based on factors like opponent weaknesses, turnover rates, and recent performances. These defenses are widely available in most leagues, giving fantasy managers a chance to take advantage of favorable matchups without the need for long-term commitments. Whether you’re looking for a one-week fix or a potential rest-of-season sleeper, these Week 9 DST streaming picks can deliver the stability and upside your fantasy lineup needs.

Washington Commanders DST @ New York Giants

First up is the Washington Commanders DST as they face Daniel Jones and the New York Giants in Week 9. On Monday, this DST was 11% rostered on Sleeper. However, it has since skyrocketed to 53% rostered after the runs of waiver wire pickups. Despite the increase in ownership, this defense is still very much available and you can plug and play them this week with confidence.

Over the last three weeks, Jones has not thrown a single touchdown but has thrown two interceptions. Additionally, he has been sacked 11 times in the last two games. Furthermore, LT Andrew Thomas is undergoing foot surgery and is done for the season.

In a game that has just a 43.5-point total, look for the Washington defense to go on the road and stop Jones and the Giants’ offense.

Tennessee Titans DST vs. New England Patriots

Another defense that has seen a huge increase in ownership this week is the Tennessee Titans DST. On Monday, their roster percentage was just 2% on Sleeper. Since then, it has increased to 23%. This means they’re still very much available as a top option that you can pick up and start this week with some confidence.

This game is a home matchup for Tennessee against a struggling Patriots offense. Rookie Drake Maye has shown some flashes, but their weapons are seriously lacking and the offense just looks rough. Keep in mind, Maye is also in concussion protocol. However, he’s logged two practices this week and is trending in the right direction to play.

Moreover, this game has a low implied point total. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, this total is currently at 38, making it the lowest point total on the Week 9 slate. Look for this to be a fairly ugly matchup all around and the Titans DST to be a solid option this week.

New Orleans Saints DST @ Carolina Panthers

Wrapping up our top 3 DST streaming options for this week is the New Orleans Saints DST. Similar to the Titans, you’re looking at arguably the worst two teams in the NFL with the Patriots and Panthers. At this point, they may be fighting for the 1st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Since Monday, this DST has gone from 24% rostered to now 71%. Typically, we try to target home matchups when streaming DSTs, but the Panthers are definitely an exception. With all of the struggles with Bryce Young and Andy Dalton, this team is already looking at next year. Notably, the Panthers are the third-lowest in the NFL in yards per game. Additionally, they’re second-worst in EPA this year.

Back in Week 1, the Saints embarrassed the Panthers 47-10. Young threw for zero touchdowns and two interceptions. Meanwhile, the Saints DST racked up 4 sacks, 4 tackles for loss, forced and recovered a fumble, and gave up just 193 total yards. Look for the Saints DST to bounce back this week and handle the Panthers with ease.
