Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups – Quarterbacks
Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints – 12% rostered on ESPN
Helping to snap the Saints’ seven-game skid, Carr did a bang-up job. He tallied 269 yards and two touchdown passes on just 16 completions. Additionally, he added 17 rushing yards, which was a nice bonus from a quarterback who is not known for his rushing production.
For the sixth time in his career, Carr will be facing off against the Browns this week. This will be the first time he meets them while not wearing silver and black. However, he has been on the winning side the last four times he faced them, averaging 274.5 yards and two touchdowns in those four victories. The Browns have surrendered 254 yards and two passing scores per game over their last four contests. All in all, Carr should be an excellent streaming option this week off the waiver wire for Wee 11.
Russell Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers – 22% rostered on Yahoo
In his three starts, Wilson has been solid. He’s averaged 245.7 passing yards and two passing touchdowns per game. In Week 10, he notched three passing touchdowns on just 14 completions.
Furthermore, Wilson gets a prime matchup against a Ravens defense that has been lackluster when it comes to stopping the pass. They’ve allowed the most passing yards (314.6) and most passing scores (2.2) per game this season. Recently, they gave up 428 passing yards and four scores to the Cincinnati air attack on Thursday. Overall, Week 11 is shaping up to be another good fantasy day for Wilson.
Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups – Running Backs
Audric Estime, Denver Broncos – 7% rostered on Sleeper
All week leading up to the Week 10 slate, we heard that Estime would see an expanded role. We were much less than disappointed when he had more carries (14) than he had in his previous four games combined (13). He churned out a season-high 53 yards in a tough matchup and we should expect more efficiency in the weeks ahead.
The Week 11 matchup with Atlanta should be cause for optimism. Over the previous five weeks, they’ve given up 129.4 rushing yards per game with running backs accounting for 4.5 yards per carry. If Estime can average 3.8 yards per carry against Kansas City (3.65, 2nd fewest yards per carry), imagine what he’ll do in a better matchup.
Cam Akers, Minnesota Vikings – 14% rostered on Yahoo
Over the last two weeks, Akers has shown to be an upgrade to the Vikings’ running back room. He has averaged 4.4 yards per attempt on his 19 carries and has been the primary ball carrier on multiple drives in those games. Should Aaron Jones miss any considerable time, Akers would take on the bulk of the backfield workload.
This week’s opponent is Tennessee, a defense that allowed just 3.37 yards per carry to running backs in the first four weeks of 2024. In their last three contests, the Titans have allowed 139.7 rushing yards per game. Opposing ground attacks have also produced seven scores in their last four games. Akers is a mandatory handcuff that could see enough touches in a positive matchup to be fantasy-viable.
Gus Edwards, Los Angeles Chargers – 19% rostered on Sleeper
In his return to action, Edwards was a significant part of the Chargers offense. Compared to J.K. Dobbins’ 15 carries for 50 yards, Edwards had fewer carries (10) and more rushing yards (55) in Week 10. Dobbins’ 19.8 touches over the last five weeks could be running him down, causing Edwards to see a significant role, or a primary role, in upcoming weeks. He could be more than just a handcuff.
Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups – Wide Receivers
Noah Brown, Washington Commanders – 12% rostered on ESPN
Brown was targeted at least six times in four of his last five outings, reaching at least 58 receiving yards in three of those games. He is second among the Commanders in receiving yards over the last four weeks while averaging 15 yards per catch.
This week, against Philadelphia, the Commanders will have to utilize the pass. The Eagles have averaged 31.8 points per game across their last four, forcing opposing teams to lean on the pass. Look to Brown if you’re in need of an option at wide receiver.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling, New Orleans – 2% rostered on Sleeper
Valdes-Scantling took over the role vacated by Rashid Shaheed’s season-ending injury. He totaled 109 receiving yards and two touchdowns, highlighted by a 67-yard catch that did not result in a touchdown. He and his quarterback, Derek Carr, could be a fun little combination that could double as a profitable DFS stack in Week 11.
Ricky Pearsall, San Francisco 49ers – 25% rostered on ESPN
Week 10 was a banner week for Pearsall. He scored his first NFL touchdown and set new personal highs in targets (6) and receiving yards (73). Comparing his and teammate Juaun Jennings’ last three games each played, Pearsall is leading in yards per reception (13.2 to 12.1)
They’ll face a Seattle defense that surrendered 19.8 yards per reception to the 49ers in Week 6. Over the three games since then, Seattle has allowed 14.6 yards per reception. Additionally, they have allowed a 100+ yards receiver in each of their last two games. Ultimately, Pearsall is establishing himself as a viable pass catcher for San Francisco.
Demarcus Robinson, Los Angeles Rams – 39% rostered on Yahoo
Robinson is like “the little engine that could.” Whenever he is called upon, he has the ability to explode with fantasy production. In each of the two games before Week 10, he scored twice, with five scores in his last four games. If at any time we know either Cooper Kupp or Puka Nacua will be inactive, Robinson is a guy you want to have on your roster.
Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups – Tight Ends
Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders – 33% rostered on Yahoo
After a down game in Week 9, Ertz returned to form in Week 10. He caught four balls for 31 yards, the fourth time in the last five weeks that he had at least four catches. Additionally, he ranks second on the team in targets (54), receptions (37), and receiving yards (381) through 10 games. Ultimately, Ertz makes for a wonderful outlet on plays where Jayden Daniels needs to quickly unload the ball.
In Week 11, they’ll head into Philadelphia for an important divisional showdown. Over the last three weeks, Philadelphia has allowed 59.7 yards and 6.3 receptions to the position. In his one prior game against his old squad, Ertz caught six of ten passes for 48 yards. His upside is limited but his floor is pretty secure.
Will Dissly, Los Angeles Chargers – 4% rostered on Sleeper
Bye weeks can be tough and this week is no exception for tight ends. Dissly has averaged five receptions per contest in his last four outings for a total of 161 receiving yards. He’s been looked to early in games to get the offense moving, leading the team in targets (32) and receptions (24) over the last four games. With names like Otton and McBride unavailable this week, Dissly could be your Week 11 bandage.
Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups – D/ST
Houston Texans DST – 44% rostered on ESPN
With a Week 10 matchup against Detroit, a lot of fantasy managers found another D/ST with a better-looking matchup. However, Houston snagged five interceptions in that game, making them a great option last week. With the seventh most sacks (29) and the second most interceptions (13), they’ll make a short trip to Dallas for a Lonestar State battle. Regardless of who starts under center for Dallas, this looks to be another great fantasy week for the Texans.
Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups – Kickers
John Parker Romo, Minnesota Vikings – 2% rostered on Sleeper
Before a quad injury put a hold on his rookie season, Will Reichard had made every kick he attempted. In his last three games before the injury appeared, he made eight field goals. More importantly, he was getting a fair amount of work other than just PATs. Romo enters the fray and all four of his attempts against the Jaguars. Minnesota has an offense capable of moving down the field any time they possess the ball. Any kicker in this situation will have success.
