Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 15

Playoff time is here! If you are reading this and made the playoffs, congratulations! If you are fighting for consolation brackets or last place battles, we’ll dive deep to help you for next season.  If you have a bye week, look ahead for nice Week 16 matchups. For the playoffs, I cut off the percentage rostered and prioritized adds. It’s time to win, and no need to stash. Let’s get right to it with Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 15.

Quarterbacks

Davis Mills, Houston Texans

Davis Mills has been announced as the starting quarterback for the rest of the season for Houston. He threw for 331 yards and a touchdown against Seattle. For those in need of a Superflex play, Mills has a chance to break out next Sunday against the Jaguars.

Tyler Huntley, Baltimore Ravens

If Lamar Jackson misses any time, Tyler Huntley becomes an intriguing play. He threw for 270 yards and a touchdown (on top of two interceptions), in place of Lamar Jackson on Sunday, and hosts the Packers this coming week.

Running Backs

Rashaad Penny, Seattle Seahawks

With Chris Carson done for the season, and Alex Collins not running away with the starting job, Rashaad Penny did just that. He carried the ball 16 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns. He caught his only target for a yard. Seattle had a favorable matchup against Houston, but even against the Rams next week, Penny should see enough volume to merit a large FAAB budget.

Craig Reynolds, Detroit Lions

This is an out of nowhere called. Adam Schefter was on ESPN saying how this newly elevated running back was the back to the roster. Jermar Jefferson saw no touches. Craig Reynolds (whom I started in the Scott Fish Bowl playoffs), rushed 11 times for 83 yards and caught both of his targets for 16 yards. With Jamaal Williams on the COVID list, and D’Andre Swift possibly ending on IR, Reynolds becomes a must-add all over.

D’Onta Foreman, Tennessee Titans

D’Onta Foreman looks like the running back to the roster in Tennessee, and if he is on your waivers, that needs to change. He carried the ball 13 times for 47 yards and a touchdown, adding two catches on two targets for 15 yards. He saw 50% of the rushing totals from the running back room.

Mike Davis, Atlanta Falcons

Mike Davis is not the starting running back in Atlanta anymore for fantasy, but if you need a deep league to add, Mike Davis has been heating up. He carried the ball 11 times for 44 yards, catching five of six targets for 42 yards. He has seen double-digit fantasy points now in back-to-back weeks.

Corey Clement, Dallas Cowboys

This is only an add if Tony Pollard misses another week. Corey Clement carried the ball 13 times for 44 yards and caught one of two targets for 2 yards. He led Dallas in rushing attempts and trailed Zeke by a yard in totals. If Pollard misses more time, this becomes a good pickup.

Jeff Wilson Jr, San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers backfield has been all over the place with Elijah Mitchell’s injury. He carried the ball 13 times for 56 yards on Sunday and was the only running back to receive any carries out of the backfield. The 49ers are heating up, and Jeff Wilson is becoming a good pickup.

Justin Jackson, Los Angeles Chargers

Justin Jackson is only an add if Austin Ekeler is out Thursday night. Early indication is that he should play, but this is something to monitor. While filling in, Jackson carried nine times for 35 yards and caught his only target for seven yards.

Wide Receivers

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions

Amon-Ra St. Brown is becoming a must-add in fantasy. He saw 12 targets for the second consecutive week and hauled in eight catches for 73 yards. With this target share, he is lining up to be a WR2, flex play for the fantasy playoffs.

Robby Anderson, Carolina Panthers

We don’t know what the Panthers are doing at quarterback, but we do know Robby Anderson saw the most targets he’s seen all season on Sunday. He caught seven of 12 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown. He’s a risky play next week at Buffalo, but if you need a WR3 or low-end flex, Robby could break out again.

K.J. Osborn, Minnesota Vikings

With Adam Thielen out, KJ Osborn saw nine targets. He caught three of them for 83 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown was a 62 yarder. Osborn is an interesting play only if Thielen is out again.

Russell Gage, Atlanta Falcons

Russell Gage is on this list every week, and he has been putting up respectable fantasy numbers each week. He caught four of six targets for 64 yards and continues to act as the WR1 in Atlanta outside of Kyle Pitts.

Allen Lazard, Green Bay Packers

Allen Lazard had a big Sunday night performance against the Bears. He caught six of seven targets for 75 yards and a touchdown. Green Bay badly needs a WR2, and maybe this is the start of the long-awaited breakout for Lazard.

Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cleveland Browns

Donovan Peoples-Jones had a big game Sunday against the Ravens. He caught five of seven targets for 90 yards. He has been very inconsistent this year but came through in a big game for Cleveland. He is a deep add if you are looking for a low-end flex play, but know he could also put up low points as well.

Rashod Bateman, Baltimore Ravens

Be careful with Rashod Bateman this week. If Lamar Jackson is out he may be a risky start, but he did catch seven of eight targets for 103 yards on Sunday. Bateman has been hit or miss all season, but this Sunday was his best game.

Tight Ends

Austin Hooper, Cleveland Browns

Acting as the TE1 on Sunday, Austin Hooper had a big week. He caught five of seven targets for 30 yards and a touchdown. He is a great streaming option if you’re struggling at the tight end position or have been streaming all year.
