Free NFL Picks Week 11
Happy week 11 to all. The second half of the NFL season is in full swing. I cannot help but be impressed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fresh off a 28-27 win over the Washington Commanders, Pittsburgh has won three games in a row since choosing to start Russell Wilson over Justin Fields. How about the addition of Mike Williams? The one-time New York Jets wide receiver caught a 32-yard game-winning touchdown strike from Wilson in his debut in the black and gold.
On the defensive side of the ball, T.J. Watt continues to wreak havoc game in and game out. The 30-year-old has totalled 6.5 sacks, 16 quarterback hits, and four forced fumbles in nine games. With the Baltimore Ravens coming to town on Sunday, first place in the AFC North will be on the line. How about a little love for Mike Tomlin for Coach of The Year? Anyways, without further ado here are the free NFL picks for Week 11.
Jacksonville Jaguars (+14.0) vs Detroit Lions (-14.0)
Jacksonville turned to Mac Jones last Sunday after an injury to Trevor Lawrence. They nearly pulled off an upset over the Minnesota Vikings. Hitting and harassing Sam Darnold all game long, the Jaguars intercepted the former third-overall pick three times. However, they failed to find the end zone and racked up just 143 total yards, the fifth-lowest mark in franchise history.
It was a rare off day for the Lion’s offense against Houston. Jared Goff threw a career-high five interceptions. Detroit scored 16 unanswered points in the fourth quarter before a game-winning field goal from Jake Bates. Yes, this is a massive number. Nonetheless, Dan Campbell’s group is playing complete football, and Goff should be much better against a reeling Jacksonville squad.
Pick: Lions (-14.0)
Atlanta Falcons (+2.0) vs Denver Broncos (-2.0)
The New Orleans Saints snapped Atlanta’s two-game winning streak. Despite outgaining New Orleans 468 to 365, the Falcons could not capitalize on their opportunities. Younghoe Koo missed three field goals for the first time in his career. Furthermore, Atlanta’s defense struggled to stop the Saint’s passing attack. In his second game in the Bayou, Marquez Valdes-Scantling caught three passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns.
Denver nearly handed the Kansas City Chiefs their first loss of the season. The Chiefs blocked the Broncos ‘ game-winning field goal attempt. Bo Nix and company have struggled offensively over their last two games, scoring just 24 total points. They have also struggled to fun the football with just 3.5 yards averaged per attempt. This game originally opened at a toss-up. Take the two points and bet on the Falcons to get back on track.
Pick: Falcons (+2.0)
Las Vegas Raiders (+7.0) vs Miami Dolphins (-7.0)
Miami knocked off the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football to stay alive in the AFC playoff race. Led by the play of their defense, the Dolphins sacked Matthew Stafford four times. As a result, they held the Rams out of the end zone for just the eighth time under Sean McVay.
Las Vegas appears headed for a top-five pick in the NFL Draft. Following their victory over the Cleveland Browns in week four, the Raiders have lost five straight games. They have failed to score over 20 points in three of those contests. Set to have their hands full with Miami’s high-powered passing attack, the Raiders rank 30th in the league in points allowed per game (27.9) and 22nd in rushing yards allowed per game (129.9). Seven points is a big number. Nonetheless, the Raiders have lost eight of their last ten road contests.
Pick: Dolphins (-7.0)
Cincinnati Bengals (+1.5) vs Los Angeles Chargers (-1.5)
If Cincinnati were near the top of the AFC, Joe Burrow would be in the MVP conversation. The former number-one overall pick leads the NFL in passing yards (2,672) and sits tied for first in passing touchdowns (24) with Lamar Jackson. He has completed over 68 percent of his passes while tossing just four interceptions.
The Charger’s defense has been stellar through ten weeks. Los Angeles leads the league in points allowed per game (13.1). They also sit ninth in passing yards allowed per game (191.6) and fifth in third down percentage. Jesse Minter’s group is just the fourth team in the last 40 years to hold their first nine opponents under 21 points each. This matchup has huge playoff ramifications in the ultra-tight wild-card race in the AFC. Give me Burrow to out-duel Justin Herbert in a close game.
Pick: Bengals (+1.5)
Indianapolis Colts vs New York Jets (O/U 43.5)
The Colts travel to New York to take on the Jets in a battle of two teams desperately searching for a victory. Indianapolis has lost three straight games since turning to veteran Joe Flacco. As a result, Shane Steichen announced on Wednesday that the team will go back to second-year man Anthony Richardson.
Continuing their horrific 2024 campaign, the Jets were dismantled by the Arizona Cardinals. Aaron Rodgers threw for just 151 yards in the loss while being sacked three times. Meanwhile, New York could not slow down Kyler Murray and the high-powered Cardinals passing attack. They allowed 406 yards, including 147 on the ground. Indianapolis has gone five straight games without eclipsing the 20-point mark. Pair that with the struggles of the Jet’s offense, and the under is the call in this one.
Pick: Under 43.5
Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers (O/U 48.5)
Once sitting atop the NFC West, the Seahawks have dropped four of their last five. Coming off a bye week, Mike Macdonald’s group now sits two games back of the final wild-card spot in the NFC. Getting healthier on the offensive side of the ball, Seattle should have D.K. Metcalf back in this one. The star wide receiver has missed the last two games with a knee injury.
The 49ers outlasted the Arizona Cardinals 23-20 despite a shaky day from their special teams. Jake Moody missed three field goals before kicking the game-winning boot. In his first game back following an Achilles injury, Christian McCaffrey totalled over 90 yards from scrimmage. The over has hit in five of the nine games that each team has played in this season. That trend should continue in this one.
Pick: Over 48.5
