IDP Fantasy Football: Week 15 News and Notes
Daron Payne (DL) – Washington Commanders
Payne is having a great season. He has been very consistent for fantasy and has a nice playoff schedule. Payne has only three games with fewer than 10 points and in the last six games, he has fewer than 10 points just once. He has at least three tackles in every game and is on pace for double-digit sacks. Payne is in the last year of his contract and will be an unrestricted free agent. I think the best thing for his fantasy outlook is to stay in Washington.
Derwin James (DB) – Los Angeles Chargers
James is dealing with a quad issue that caused him to miss Week 14. His status is in doubt for Week 15 which could be a huge blow for fantasy managers. Depending on the number of IDP starters for your league some players you could look to pick up are Rasul Douglas and Ryan Neal. Ryan Neal has nine games with at least 10 points. In eight of those nine games, he has at least five tackles. Rasul Douglas has three straight games with double-digit points and gets to face Baker Mayfield which is a good thing.
Malcolm Rodriguez (LB) – Detroit Lions
Rodriguez’s snap percentage has gone down significantly since Week 8. He has failed to play 60% of the snaps for six straight weeks. Since Week 5 he has recorded six or more tackles in just two games and scored fewer than eight points in four of the last seven games. I would not feel confident in starting Rodriguez rest of the season.
Uchenna Nwosu (DL/LB) – Seattle Seahawks
Nwosu has been great for most of the season and had back-to-back monster games in Weeks 8 and 9 with two sacks in each game. However, since then he has failed to record a sack in three of his last four games but managed to record two sacks against the Rams in Week 13. He has played on more than 80% of the snaps in the last two games and that should continue for the rest of the season. I think he will be just fine to start for the fantasy playoffs.
Logan Wilson (LB) – Cincinnati Bengals
Wilson is coming off a monster game against the Browns with a crazy 17 tackles. Since the bye week, he has played at least 97% of the plays and has seven or more tackles in all but three games this season. Wilson gets Tampa Bay and New England in his next two games which should be good matchups for him. I think he will have double-digit tackles in at least one of those two games.
