L’Jarius Sneed (DB) – Kansas City Chiefs

Sneed has been filling up the stat sheet this season. He has at least seven tackles in every game as well as three sacks, three forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery through five games. Sneed is currently the No. 1 DB and is on pace to nearly double his tackle total from last season. He is taking a huge step forward from year two to year three. Let’s see if he can keep it up.

Kenny Moore (DB) – Indianapolis Colts

Coming off of back-to-back good seasons he is off to a slow start. He has only two games with double-digit points and has zero interceptions. However last season he had 13 games with double-digit points and four interceptions. Moore also has just one game with seven or more tackles while he had eight games last season. He is droppable in redraft leagues. Since he is only 27 and has multiple good seasons he is a hold in dynasty leagues where you start two or more DBs.

Jordyn Brooks (LB) – Seattle Seahawks

Brooks has been very consistent this season and has proven to be a reliable fantasy starter. He has 11 or more tackles in four out of five games averaging nearly 20 points a game. Although he isn’t giving you any monster performances he isn’t hurting you with any dud games. Brooks is just 24 years old and looks like he will finish as a top 10 LB for the second straight year.

Deion Jones (LB) – Cleveland Browns

Jones was traded to the Browns for a late-round draft pick. He was on injured reserve with the Falcons this season. The Browns have taken Jones off of the injured reserve and are hoping he will improve their run defense which has been horrible. Last season Jones had a good year for fantasy but graded poorly according to PFF which was one of the main reasons the Falcons traded him. Might be worth an add in deeper leagues where you can stash him on your bench for a few weeks and see how he performs.

Maxx Crosby (DL) – Las Vegas Raiders

Crosby is playing out of his mind and is off to a monster season. He has six sacks through five games and is on pace for a 20+ sack season and 100 tackles. He has double-digit points in every game and 20+ points in all but one game. He is on pace for an INSANE 400+ points in what could be a league-winning season. In just his fourth season Crosby is looking like he could be a dominant defender for many years. It would not shock me to see him in the top five DL in dynasty rankings going into next year.
