Shaq Barrett (DL/LB) – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Barrett suffered a torn Achilles tendon in Thursday night’s game against the Ravens. This is a tough break for a player who is turning 30 in just a few weeks. He has managed to stay healthy for most of his career but this injury will definitely put his career in jeopardy. Achilles injuries are tough to come back from even for young players but even more so for aging players.

Roquan Smith (LB) – Baltimore Ravens

The  Bears traded Smith to the Ravens for A. J. Klein, 2023 second-round and fifth-round picks. It will be interesting to see how quickly he settles into the Ravens defensive scheme and if he will still be a tackling machine like he was in Chicago. Roquan is a stud and will still be great but he might not see the same opportunities as he did in Chicago.

Robert Quinn (DL/LB) – Philadelphia Eagles

Quinn was traded to the Eagles. He has double-digit sacks in five seasons. While he had 18.5 sacks last season he has managed to record only one sack this season. I believe this move will great for him. The Eagles are the 3rd highest in ppg and this will likely lead to more opportunities to get after the quarterback. I expect to see an increase in sacks from him.

Malcolm “Rodrigo” Rodgriguez (LB) – Detroit Lions

He became an instant start on HBO’s Hard Knocks and has carried that over into the season. He has only posted a snap percentage over 80% once yet he has double-digit points in all but one game. It would be great to see what he could do with more snaps. I do believe we will see his role increasing as the season goes on.

Bradley Chubb (DL/LB) – Miami Dolphins

Chubb was traded to Miami along with a 2025 fifth-round pick in exchange for Chase Edmonds, a 2024 fourth-round pick, and San Francisco’s 2023 first-round pick. Although he had two monster games he has less than eight points in five of eight games this season. Hopefully, this move will be better for him and help him be more consistent in his scoring and less of a boom/bust.
