Lamar Jackson‘s 2024 fantasy football outlook promises elite upside for savvy managers. With his dual-threat capabilities and explosive playmaking, Jackson is poised to be a top-tier fantasy asset. In this analysis, we’ll delve into his potential for the upcoming season, examining key factors that could make him a game-changer for your fantasy football team. Discover why Jackson should be on your radar for 2024.

With the summer of 2024 underway, it signals the time of year when we need to start prepping for what’s to come. Coming off his second MVP season, Jackson looks to cement himself again as a top fantasy option at quarterback. Jackson has proven his ability to be a QB1 on any given week due to his ridiculous skill set. However, the question is whether or not Jackson can finish as the QB1 overall once again.

In this article, we will look at Jackson’s upcoming season to try to determine what kind of success he can potentially achieve. We will also look at what kind of red flags we can watch out for. Additionally, we will talk about both redraft and dynasty outlooks going forward. This guide will help you determine if he is someone you want leading the charge on your team in 2024.

QB Lamar Jackson Fantasy Value

Jackson is heading into his seventh season as the quarterback of the defending AFC North champion Baltimore Ravens. At only 27 years old, Jackson is coming off his second MVP of his short career. With multiple MVPs under his belt, the rumblings of a Hall of Fame career have started. Jackson has the most unique skill set of any quarterback in NFL history and he shows it off every week.

In only 16 games last season, Jackson threw for 3,678 yards and 24 touchdowns with only seven interceptions. Additionally, of all quarterbacks with 300 or more snaps, Jackson finished third with a 97.7 rating under pressure. Furthermore, he also added 821 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns on the ground. After missing time to injuries the two previous seasons, it was great to see him put up a top-five fantasy season in 2023.

One of the biggest upgrades he has going for him is the return of tight end Mark Andrews. Andrews missed seven games last season for a team that was already lacking in the pass-catching department. Conversely, one of the biggest red flags for Jackson is the signing of former Titans running back Derrick Henry. Last season former Ravens running back Gus Edwards had 13 rushing touchdowns, most of which were only one or two-yard runs. I expect a lot of that for Henry, which means he will again be poaching rushing touchdown opportunities from Jackson.

Fantasy Football Outlook

As we approach the season, Jackson should be a shoe-in for a top 5 fantasy football finish. Currently, on Underdog Fantasy, Jackson is the projected QB3 with an ADP of 45.5 behind only Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts. I have high confidence he will finish within that range and I am projecting him to have around 3,500 yards passing with 26 passing touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Additionally, I can see him also putting up 750 rushing yards and 5 or more rushing touchdowns.

Dynasty Football Outlook

In dynasty football leagues according to KeepTradeCut, Jackson is currently the QB4. Right now, I have him as the QB3 in my personal dynasty fantasy football rankings. He is still young at only 27 years old and again, he is coming off his second MVP year of his career.

In a dynasty startup draft, Jackson should safely be a round one,  in the 1.03-1.05 range. Overall, he is entering his prime and he should be a safe bet to be a top 5 quarterback going forward and should retain that value for years to come.

Conclusion

Jackson has already cemented himself as an elite fantasy football asset. With the offense getting better along with him entering his prime nothing should change that. Whether it be redraft or dynasty you can confidently draft him to be your QB1 and feel great about it. He has had injuries in the past but those major injuries have all come while in the pocket, not rushing. You simply cannot pass on the elite talent that is Jackson.
