Manchester City Has The Quality To Make It Four On The Spin

Having claimed a third consecutive Premier League title this season there’s little to suggest any side can stop Manchester City from claiming a fourth English crown in a row next term.

Arsenal had City hot under the collar earlier in the year but there was always an inevitability about Pep Guardiola’s side finishing top of the pile and they are more than capable of being champions again next season.

City Cruise To the Title Once Again

It’s another Premier League season to remember for City. They battled back from eight points behind Arsenal to claim the title. The Citizens showed all their experience in the final weeks of the season and ended up flying past the Gunners on the way to the trophy.

City is already the 1.66 favorite to win the Premier League title next season and punters can use a bet365 offer for New Zealand to get the most out of backing Guardiola’s side to finish top of the standings once again.

It’s hard to see any other side bridging the gap for next season, as Guardiola has turned City into the dominant force in English football.

Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur have largely had seasons to forget, while Manchester United still looks to be a work in progress to get the consistency needed to mount a serious title challenge. Arsenal blew their best opportunity to win a first Premier League title since the 2003/04 season and it will take a sizable effort to go again and challenge next term.

Newcastle United were one of the success stories of the season and after their summer recruitment, it will be interesting to see if they can take the next step to become rivals to City for the title next term.

Last Summer’s Arrivals Can Continue To Get Better

City’s rivals should be concerned about the scenario of City’s arrivals last summer becoming even better next season as they settle further into their surroundings in Manchester. Striker Erling Haaland has been a revelation this season but the Norwegian has high standards and will want to be even better for the 2023/24 campaign.

Julián Álvarez has struggled for starts at times due to Haaland’s form but Argentina started featuring heavily at the back end of the campaign. A prolific finisher in front of goal, Álvarez looks set to have a bright future ahead of him at the Etihad Stadium.

City signed England midfielder Kalvin Phillips last summer from Leeds United. The Three Lions star was forced to play a limited role this season. Like fellow England international Jack Grealish, Phillips enjoy a more influential role in any further City success.

It’s hard not to be impressed by what City achieved in the Premier League this season. Their rivals face a mighty challenge ahead if they are to loosen the Citizen’s grip on England’s crown.
