Fantasy Football Outlook: The Denver Broncos have added some veteran experience to their wide receiver room recently with Callaway. This comes after some recent rumblings that Denver could be shopping one of their top wideouts in Courtland Sutton or Jerry Jeudy. Obviously, nothing has happened yet, but it could potentially bring a bit of hype to this rumor.
Callaway’s best season came in 2021 when he caught 46/84 targets for 698 yards and 6 touchdowns. That occurred under Sean Payton, so there is clearly some history worth at least mentioning. Additionally, he’s been in the league for three seasons and is still just 24 years old.
As of now, Callaway is the WR3/WR4 on this roster, assuming Sutton and Jeudy return. However, he’d absolutely have a shot as the deep threat on this offense if one of the Broncos’ receivers did get traded. That being said, for fantasy football purposes, Callaway won’t be much more than a late-round best ball option. For now.
In your dynasty leagues, don’t go out of your way to acquire him. However, if you’re able to pick up players right now, there’s an off-chance he might be on the waiver wire in deeper leagues. He’s worth a stash and potentially selling high candidate if/when Sutton or Jeudy is traded. Overall, don’t expect too much out of Callaway for fantasy purposes.
