Our best bet of the day will target Cincinnati Reds LHP Nick Martinez to exceed his strikeout prop, currently set at 3.5, on a single-unit wager on the road against the struggling Pittsburgh Pirates.
Martinez has pitched well thus far in 2024, posting a respectable 6-6 overall record, 3.64 ERA, and 1.09 WHIP in 101.1 innings pitched, in 35 total appearances, keeping the Reds relevant in the N.L. playoff race.
The Reds righty has also posted some impressive figures in the advanced metrics/statistics department, ranking in the 99th percentile among starting pitchers in BB% (3.1%), 97th in Chase% (35.4%), and 94th in Hard-Hit% (31.4%), via Baseball Savant.
