Welcome to our NFL single-game breakdown for Monday Night Football. This article will provide a quick analysis of players to consider on FanDuel for this matchup between the Dolphins and Saints. We’re excited to announce that The FF Faceoff is an official Affiliate of FanDuel, so if you haven’t signed up, do so here. Let’s get right to it in Monday Night NFL FanDuel Picks: Dolphins @ Saints.

The Miami Dolphins are set to travel to New Orleans Saints in this cross-conference showdown. Currently, the Dolphins are three-point favorites in a game featuring a 37 point game total. For the Dolphins, Albert Wilson has been placed on the Covid/Reserve list and should be out unless he clears protocols. For the Saints, quarterbacks Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian have been placed on the Covid/Reserve list and will miss this game. Receiver Deonte Harris will miss the game because of a suspension, while Tre’Quan Smith is listed questionable with a shoulder injury. With both quarterbacks OUT, the Saints are going to turn to Ian Book, a rookie out of Notre Dame.

MVP Options

Alvin Kamara ($16,500)

Just going to keep it simple with Kamara, play him in your MVP spot. He will get the most volume in this game and has the most touchdown equity for the Saints with no Taysom Hill to steal goal-line carries. Vegas has him projected for around 18.5 carries and 4.5 receptions, so this offense will still be centered around Kamara getting the ball a lot. He has scored a touchdown in five of his last six games, with the miss being against the Buccaneers, a game in which nobody on either team scored a touchdown. With the game being projected for such a low total, take the guy that gets a ton of volume.

Tua Tagovailoa ($15,000)

I like getting to Tagovailoa in my MVP spot as well because of his passing volume. He is attempting 30.2 passing per game, including times where he left games early and took over later in games. The Saints defense has allowed the fewest FanDuel points per game to running backs this season, so it looks to be another pass-heavy approach for the Dolphins. With DeVante Parker and Jaylen Waddle both active this game, Tagovailoa has his full complement of pass catchers, which should only increase his fantasy output.

Flex Plays

Jaylen Waddle ($13,000)

After sitting out last week on the Covid/Reserve list, Waddle is back to add to what has been a stellar rookie campaign. He is averaging 6.6 receptions and 65 yards per game. Over his last five games, he has averaged 9.2 targets per game. While the Saints’ defense has been very good against the run they have given up the 9th most FanDuel points per game to wide receivers. Given the chance of increased passing volume and his already massive role, Waddle will be one of the top plays of the night.

DeVante Parker ($10,500)

Parker has had a nice stretch of games over the last four weeks. He has received 33 targets during that span and scored two touchdowns. He has caught just over 5 balls and 73 yards per game during this stretch. Given his recent success and the Dolphins’ willingness to throw at a high rate, Parker should make for a great play.

Brett Maher ($9,000) & Jason Sanders ($8,500)

Brett Maher has only missed one field goal with the Saints this year and has attempted multiple field goals in three straight games. Jason Sanders has scored six or more FanDuel points in six straight games with double-digit performances in three of them. Both the Dolphins and Saints rank top ten in field goals made against them.

Marquez Callaway ($8,500)

Getting all of the preseason buzz, Callaway has not quite matched his stellar preseason production but has shown flashes of production. He is currently averaging just 2.6 catches and 39.6 yards per game but has the ability for a big game. The Dolphins defense is giving up the 6th most FanDuel points per game to wide receivers, so he has a great matchup. He will look to build upon last week’s 6-112 performance and gets this great matchup to do so.
